Anyone done this?

I started it but stopped. I think I'm going to do it again all the way through, he's a great teacher definitely knows his stuff, just wondering what anyone else thought.

Pretty amazing he's done all this for free as well.

Not read his book but heard its very good.

I've looked at it out of curiosity, he didn't finish all the course, or at least that was the situation when I looked it out
I have to see if he's added some more work to it, but overall I was impressed. It is a good project, my hat for doing it all free I've also taken one or two ideas out of this course to incorporate in my strategies.

He's done a lot of it and I think he's held back the next part for a while but there is still a good amount of material up there.

The research he does is very interesting and quite encompassing especially with the sample size.

Hello,

Trying to work this course in between the 9 to 5. It's going to take awhile, but between his book/course, futures.io (formerly BMT) and FT71, I think I'm on the right track.

Really impressed with the generosity of the above group. So much for so little. There's a "pattern"here and it appears to be mercy or pathos (whether they realize it or not). There's a desire, on their part, to help sincere people who are "trying" to learn the skill of trading. And of course, their all gifted teachers and teachers gotta teach.

Thankfully I haven't been fleeced by any of the "get rich quick" rift-raft. Most likely due to age and the healthy dose of skepticism that "usually" develops over time as opposed to any inherent brilliance on my part.

Bryan

It's a good course. I'm about half way through. It would be useful to have an answer key for the homework. He has a link to a forum which doesn't appear to be up yet. I wonder if he is still planning to do that?

Yeah, unfortunately it's all unfinished. I guess life/work got in the way. I'm definitely not in a position to comment on Adam's knowledge but at least his view on the things I did know mirrors mine. E.g. that the market is driven by disagreement over price. IMO there is a lot of value in this course for any novice trader who is ready to work a bit to get a heap of no-nonsense information.

especially quantitative confirmations of many of my hunches, there I lack the ability to prove it myself.

Has anyone did the HW 1? I have some questions that were unclear in his video demo.
Does he want us to draw the bar charts based off our 30 minute price tracking ?
The same question applies for the swing charts ?

Just wanted to give a shout out to @AdamHGrimes for his amazing contributions to the trading community. I am currently undergoing his course right now, and it is phenomenal. I recommend it to any and all traders. It is a great refresher, offers new ideas and perspectives, statistical and quantitative research, and best part of all it is enjoyable! The fact that you are giving it away truly blows my mind, and speaks to the kind of person you are. Thanks so much.

likewise kodos to@AdamHGrimes. I watched the webinar a couple of weeks ago and started "The Course..."

I could not find the forum either. Would it be appropriate to use the thread?

I'm working through the Adam H Grimes course right now. I'm very impressed with the depth of his research and with the insights it provides into the market. One thing I'm curious about is the trance and hypnosis that he suggests as a method to overcome hurdles in trading psychology. Does anybody here use these techniques while trading? Has anybody tried them for the first time in his course, and if so, would you be willing to share your thoughts on the experience?

Thanks

I have been in the process of very slowly working through Adam Grimes' free course, The Art and Science of Trading, and have really appreciated all of the insights that he shares in it.

Unfortunately, when I went to complete another portion of the course recently I found that I could not access any sections of the course that I had not already completed in the past. I'm posting here to see if anybody has any information about possible changes that may have occurred in the course recently that I somehow missed.

Adam Grimes provided the course for free, and he has the right to take it away as well. If, however, I am just missing some detail that would enable me to finish the course, I would love to find out so that I can continue with it.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can provide me with some insight into this!

Yeah, I have really appreciated the perspective he has on trading. Between his trading course and his blog (both of which are totally free) he provides a wealth of information for anybody willing to invest the time to learn. He is providing an amazing gift to the trading community.

it is all the b.s. that i payed thousands for that creates traders problems.. it would surprise most traders we all have bought the same b.s. it may have been repackaged and renamed.

The one training education purchase I have ever made was a membership here at Futures.io Reading through all of the posts by experienced traders kept me from paying for any of the courses or other things that are for sale out there. This forum also led me to Adam Grimes, and his stuff really lines up well with much of what I read from people here (no magic indicators, etc).

That said, I'm grateful for the input from so many others who are more experienced than me. I need all the help I can get to avoid dumb decisions, as I'm good enough at losing money trading that I don't need to blow any more on training materials

I have gone through about 1/2 the course this week. Its v.good - he does say that its based around his book. I then had a quick skim through reviews of the book on Amazon and one review caught my attention that claimed it was rehash of Linda Raschke's book!

Looking forward to seeing what the new site/course is like (at least the free side of things). From an email Adam sent yesterday:

... I wanted to give you a launch date for my new website: this coming Tuesday, 5 September. Here's what will be availabel on day 1:
You will be able to register your account and username
There will be a discussion forum to ask questions and talk about markets
The end of day stock market scans and setups will be live on the site
The intraday market stats and updates will be available, and regularly updated
The first installment of the relaunch of the trading course will be live
The meditation course will be back
And much more coming soon...
Over time, this site will grow, but we're going to hit the ground running. Tuesday, I will send another email invitation with the website URL, and will also release it through my social media. I'll look forward to your participating and to getting your feedback as this project grows.

Has anyone taken a look at marketlifetrading.com recently? In addition to his free course, Adam is also selling quite a bit of content. Any subscribers here? I'm not sure what to make of him.

Yes. And he's going to be more active on twitter, and he advises institutional clients, and he makes videos for his subscribers, and there's now a trading room. It seems like a lot. I'd be curious to hear if anyone has found value in his paid subscriptions. I think we all agree there is value in his course though.
