I would start by looking into this book,
https://www.amazon.com/Market-Gurus-Investing-Strategies-Streets/dp/0976510103/ref=sr_sp-atf_image_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1407990520&sr=1-1&keywords=Market+Guru
I own and enjoyed studying this book and I think it may help you. If you are looking into the fundamental traders that gurufocus tend to lean towards might as well understand what those fundamental traders look for when picking stocks. At that point you can either decide to pick your own stock or use a site like gurufocus.
As far as gurufocus is concerned, I have looked into paying for it but never did and move towards picking stocks with the methods from the book I mentioned.. So I have nothing positive or negative to say on the site itself, just the path I chose. Now days all I trade are futures.
Good luck, Cheers,
Sody
