Hi,

One possible reason is spoofing the order book. You can do a search for more info on what spoofing is.

Another reason is that the various prices of a market constantly have resting orders waiting. Just because you only see 5 or 10 levels on the DOM, doesn't mean that is all there is. For example on your screenshot, I might decide that I want to buy if price gets back down to the low of the day around 65. You can't see the depth for 65,...but my order will be sitting there waiting all the time. I might place my limit order at the low of the day several hours (or days, weeks) in advance and just leave it there waiting.

For shorter term trading, being in front of the queue is often quite important. For longer term trading, pre-defined levels can have orders sitting waiting a long time in advance.

Hope that makes sense.

If you have questions about Jigsaw, use one of the existing Jigsaw threads. Creating new threads just creates confusion and split topics.
