Has anyone read the book by Chris Beanie call "The Best Trading System". It sells for $700 - $1000 on amzn/ebay. If someone has read it, what did you think of the material?

Here is the blog.

Xbeanie - RealTime Trades, Investing 2.0

The site was viewed 498,264 times.

This is the last sentence of the site:

The link to my other free (non-subscription-based but has much more chatter) twitter account of more than 25,000 followers can be found in the book The Best Trading System .

Follow the link and you will land here:

Amazon.com: The Best Trading System: How To Make Big Stock Market Returns In The Long Run As A Trader Or Investor eBook: Chris Beanie: Kindle Store

164 reviews, out of which 70% 5-star reviews and 20% 1-star reviews.

This is called guerilla marketing. Have 25,000 followers on Twitter and then then get about 100 positive Amazon reviews out of it. This must be fun.

I have not read the book, so I am not releasing a comment.

Buy a case of fine single malt, buy a box of fine cigars - total cost about 150-200. At least you will know where your money went ....

If you sell a trading book for $ 1000, you can buy 6 bottles and six boxes of cigars.

This type of pricing on a book is usually the result of out-of-control pricing algorithms used by Amazon/book dealers. It is not based on any sort of true value of the book. From what I understand the algorithms set their pricing automatically based on the pricing of others. This has had made news headlines when the pricing got so outrageous that certain books were trying to be sold unrealistically at $50k+.

Its also very possible that someone has specifically tried to "game the pricing system" with this specific book.

There are some classics that sell at higher prices, even if they are used. This book was published in 1990 and is no longer available as a printed copy.

Day Trading With Short Term Price Patterns and [AUTOLINK]Opening Range Breakout[/AUTOLINK]: Toby Crabel: 9780934380171: Amazon.com: Books

Worth reading, but I would not pay $ 625 for a used copy. I think Crabel does not wish to produce a second edition of this book for several reasons

-> some of the information in that book is really useful
-> the subject is not really well presented

But the book remains a must read for every (automated) system trader, although it is over 20 years old.
