so no issues like the peeps before been complaining about like auto firing positions and such!?

Nope no autofiring, just smaller issues like executing a trade but not putting in stop loss and targets that are in the ATM... he fixed that.

The last issue I have is say I hit the profit target I set in GAT, but I can still keep trading. I hit my daily target yesterday in SIM but kept trading and then hit max daily loss I set and GAT stopped me from trading again. I told him about this and he said he will fix the bug.

IMO GAT is reasonably priced for what it does and the money it can save you later when doing prop firm evaluations etc. It would have saved me lots on reset fees if I used it back a few months ago.

Yeah let me know how it goes. The max daily drawdown works fine, it looks at both unrealized and realized. There is also another setting for live trailing DD, would be good to practise with that if I ever decide to do Apex funding.

How do you like it?

I found another bug in mine. It does a peculiar thing. After a couple of trades, it reduces the lot size from 2 to 1. I have it set to only trade a max of two lots. There is no setting in GAT where you can tell the software to reduce lot size after x losing trades so it's a weird bug but in a way a good bug. LOL

If you start off with a couple of losses, then the next trade will keep the losses under control if only 1 contract. I manually change it back to 2 lots after I notice the change.

So after I hit the daily profit target I hit that hot button so it stops me from trading for the rest of the day.

SO, overall, how do you like this addon? I was considering getting this to limit myself when weakness sets in. I used to have DAS Trader, and tradovate as well, which both had the risk management tools programmed in. It was very useful when I needed them. We all have those days

I love it. I wish I found it sooner. It's well worth the price which I feel is quite reasonable. It's also very easy to use. I'm getting used to hitting the stop trading button once I hit my daily target. I'm feeling more confident that I'll get funded sooner rather than later.

I emailed Josue, and he replied back pretty quick. I am gonna pull the trigger on it, and see how she does. It is funny how Tradovate, DAS Trader, Sierra and other platforms have risk management included in their software, but NT8 doesnt. I still like NT for charting, order speed and over all performance, but that is just weird. Anyway, thanks for the info

You're welcome. Customer service (Josue) is very quick to respond and he gives you info on how to reach him via Telegram. Yeah, if all those platforms could integrate risk management, why didn't Ninjatrader do it? I love it for charting too.

GAT closed my trade automatically once I hit the daily profit target that I set. You can customize the text that appears in the popup box after it closes the trade.

I wrote an NT8 add-on for myself a couple of years back that would control my trade size automatically based on account value, allow me to trade specific times only, auto put stops in place when I hadn't and deactivate trading above the daily max drawdown.

Ultimately decided that discipline starts with me as @DarkPoolTrading was saying. I honed in on psychology, I fixed my discipline and got rid of the thing. Never looked back since.
