Hi Peter,
in this example we can see strong buyings and the market goes up very fast. A few minutes later, the market goes down in the same speed, but without sellers shown in the map - moreover we have two buying circles on the way down at 11.815 nd 11.808 Shouldīt there be some strong selling activities visible on the way down or how does it work?

I'll have a go as I remember the theory from one of Pete's videos.

Without other elements and not knowing the instrument in question, it may be a case of liquidity that has not had the time to form behind the price that quickly shot up. This is observed when economic data is released and there are spikes in one direction.

Because the move was fairly rapid, chances of price encountering some resistance at a key point and then turning back pretty much all the way can be higher because liquidity has not been 'refilled' so even lower volumes have the chance of moving price fairly easily.

This for example is not uncommon with CL, where lower liquidity exacerbates such moves.

Of course Peter can correct me if I'm wrong.

There were no economic data released at that point of time. But yes, the FDAX is really thin and very temperamental to such moves. Iīm just wondering why one canīt see these sellings on the heat map, because there "should" be some visible action pushing the market back so fast again...

I don't think you should see any selling activity because It's looks like the buyers just pulled out their bids and let the price go back down. If that is the case, you don't need a lot of selling pressure to move the price so the heat map didn't showed unusual activity or white areas with a lot of liquidity.

Best Wishes Pete @DionysusToast for the New Year. Was wondering if there has been any request to do a scrolling historic of R Tape. or in the works. Or any possibility to dump R Tape to a Drive location.

cheers & best

That's on the feature request list - unfortunately alongside about 300 other things!

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I haven't seen a way to do this; have I missed something, or is it not possible currently?

Thanks
Phil

What's that - the scrolling?

Hi Peter,
I watched a couple of your shorter videos and noticed my immense lack of knowledge in this area (grin). Before I consider diving in deep to devote time to learning what you have to offer, a question, and thanks for considering it.

I live on the Australian east coast and can only get to trade between 7.00 am - 11.00 am GMT, after I come home from a waged job. Given that, which futures or indicies would you recommend for trading with Jig Saw? I am not asking for a trade recommendation, but simply to figure out if this approach is relevant to my work/trading life style.

thanks
Sienna

Eurex is good - Bund, Bobl, Eurostoxx, Dax
Osaka too with the Mini Nikkei

Currency futures, oil aren't too bad - there's a lot of currency trading in London and obviously every country uses oil, so oil has volatility from the Asian open.

Please register on futures.io to view futures trading content such as post attachment(s), image(s), and screenshot(s).

The bidders are jumping out of the way, so there's no single price where a significant amount of trade occurs.

That's absolutely a "go with" market.

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately I could not attend to the webinar : "Market Mechanics - Using Jigsaw Tools in all the right places" on the 11th.

Could you please provide for a link to watch it?

Thanks.

P.S: BTW I would also like to know if there are plans to implement CTS with RTP
