Hey fellow traders!

I am a new member in the elite circle. One of the main reasons that I am here is due to this thread. I really like the indicators available that can give me a trading system similar to what Abletrend has. I viewed all of the thread so far, and really like what is here. To my dismay, however, most of these indicators are not available for Multicharts

From what I see, I am looking for the following:

QQE
T2U_BIGMO
RSQUEEZE
TSSupertrend
Ana Pivots Daily

I own a lifetime multicharts program, and do not really want to have to switch to Ninja trader (as it appears that all of these indicators are only available for ninja)

Hoping anyone can help!!

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Just to clarify a few things:
The indicators you see on my chart template was not part of the ablesys package. I applied the Supertrend and Ablesys to to the standard template I was using at that time for comparison. If I had know that I would post them on futures.io (formerly BMT) later on I would have used a clean chart to avoid any misunderstandings. So in order to make your own replica you really only need a Supertrend indicator. My ablesys trial expired a long time ago so I'm not really able to redo the experiment.

futures.io (formerly BMT) is not the best place to go for Multicharts or Tradestation support - most people here seem to be Ninja, Sierra Charts, etc.

Have you looked at the Multicharts forum? I would think something as well known as Ablesys has been copycatted in MC.

There are 2 versions of Supertrend on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT). Don't know what the differences are though. You can find them here:

Yes, I did figure that... at the same time, however, the indicators that you had on the chart looked kinda interesting. I thought I would experiment with them. Do you still use them? I'm pretty new here... trying to find what is the best etc... if you have any suggestions for great indicators/systems, it would be greatly appreciated for any feedback! Thanks again. David

I'm in the process of stripping my charts for indicators but I still like to use a 21 EMA and a 50 SMA on most of them .. I guess I realised that trading a purely mechanical system didn't work well for me.

Don't get your hopes up too much about duplicating AbleTrend with indicators talked about in this thread. Here are some screen shots of AbleTrend vs the settings that people have presented in this thread. Do I make money with it? First let me say that I am NOT affiliated with AbleTrend. I have not been successful trading the ES with AbleTrend, what I have found to be the best is trading the EURUSD with a 3 minute and 8 range chart. I think you could probably get the same number of pips or if you traded crude or gold, you could get the same number of ticks if you traded any supertrend indicator on MTF and reading price action.

The other important thing is, at least in ninja, the indicator if running on cobc = false, repaints (maybe one or two bars back). Not badly, but I run a cobc = true (does not repaint) and cobc=false when I run AbleTrendTS. The AbleTrend package in NT is resource intensive--your ninja will start up slower and if I run too many instances of AbleTrend on my machine it bogs it down too much.

@Jack22

I found the two tsipeASCtrend cs files in the download area, but I had to zip them in order to import to NT7. The import of the zip file worked but they don't appear in the Indicator list to apply to my chart. So then I created tsipEasctrend1 manually in NT, saved it, but it still doesn't appear. I'm very new to NT. Can you steer me in the right direction so I can try out tsipEasctrend1?

Is there some special format to the zip file I need to use when I create it?

Thanks!

I am not sure which ones you are using, so I uploaded the ones that I know show up in Ninja's indicator list as the file name:
1. Put all three files in (change "USER"):"C:\Users\USER\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator
2. On Ninja's Control Panel go to Tools, Edit Ninjascript, Indicator, choose any file and click ok
3. Right click on the new window that comes up and click compile
4. The indicators should show up as the file names in Ninja's indicator listing

@Jack22,

Many thanks for these. I was about to ask you about documentation when I thought better of it and Google'd ASCTrend to see what I'd find on the web. Interestingly enough, Wintick.com (the AbleTrend folks) sell the ASCTrend indicators in a set of four for TradeStation users. The examples look suspiciously just like AbleTrend charts, the subject of this thread starter, which I'm being pressed to order by a very (ahem) assertive salesman at Wintick.

I found it interesting that their pitch claims "You don't need to purchase any expensive software platform that can cost you from $2,500 to $5,000. The cost of ASCTrend is a bargain compared to what it can do for you." I hit the Purchase button to see how much they charge, expecting something like $399. SURPRISE! It costs $5995.00!

I think I'll keep learning Ninja and continue digging here in futures.io (formerly BMT).

Geoff
