Intuitive Development for Traders by Ray Burchett (through TST)
I just completed a run through (4 day) of Ray Burchett's course: IDT. He offers it for $300 through Top Step Trader and there's a code (look at his webinar for the code) for $99 off - so I paid $201. The course is about 9 hours of material.
I liked the course.
Ray focuses on the process wherein a trader (or anyone with an interest in peak performance) develops a process (Ray calls it "the circuit") that reinforces the core behaviors of:
Ray goes through how these 5 behaviors are all related to aspects of the trading process. He does not focus on anything technically related to trading except for suggesting one indicator package, kwikpop and one technical daily bulletin (jsservices). (which he stated he gets a referral fee or some other profit sharing with)
He reiterates his points many times and the repetition is helpful. His main message is that there are 3 things before you take a trade:
1. Be certain of market state (trending, consolidating, transitioning)
2. Confident of your strategy (know how to trade the different market states)
3. committed to waiting for the market to align (ie, provide the signal to trade)
He considers step 3 to be the most difficult thing about being a professional trader. He suggests kwikpop and jsservices to help with step 1. He leaves it up to the individual trader to create step 2.
His presentation style is a combination of informal and formal - Ray is an easy-going guy, and speaks in a manner which is easy to listen to and understand. His presentation is polished in the sense that he teaches the same class live each week so much of the material is prepared and simply read by him, that said it is definitely a "live" presentation and he answers all questions.
The class is applicable to life outside of trading but is also very relevant to trading. What did I get from the course? I still have to work through my notes and I will probably sit in on the course some again this next week (you get two run throughs of the course for your fee), but I have a more robust framework for working on some of the core issues in trading: Conviction, Patience, Impartiality, and Open Mindedness. I think these are some of the most important psychological characteristics of a successful trader. Ray's course provides a lot of good ideas and fundamental principles that create the foundation for working on and improving these traits.
Hope that helps - feel free to ask questions and I will try to follow up and answer them.

I can say Ray and IDT was greatly beneficial to me ,Ray is also a real solid man of intergrety.
I use the same concept to help my daughter improve her swimming times.
Good stuff.
I took the IDT course myself. I personally thought it was great, the 2nd run through for me was key. It made the concepts at the start seem more clear since I already understood the framework. I think it was actually beneficial to me as a trader, more than any other course I have taken on the internet.
I was greatly impressed by Ray's preview presentation and his webinar on Big Mike.
I am scheduled to take the Intuitive Trader Development Course with Ray Burchett from 7PM to 10PM from 18th March to 21st March.
I will post a review here once I complete the entire course.
It is blending well with my mindfulness meditation too; I can already sense some access to intuitive function and I hope this course will help me 'channelize' (act on) that intuition.
As I already mentioned in another thread, I took the course a couple of months ago and it was the best course dealing with (trader's) psychology and intuition I ever attended.
I think you won't regret your decision and I'm also convinced that you'll get a lot out of it regarding the 'channelizing' of your intution, especially since you're already used to focus on your mind due to your meditation practice.
@Surly Thanks again for this excellent summary of Ray's IDT presentation, which I completed last night.
I can't add much to what you have so eloquently expressed.
I will get the chance to listen again next week, which I will do in order to cement all the awesome knowledge & education that came out during the 4 days. Ray is a man of the highest integrity, who has rekindled and re-ignited in me some forgotten and neglected behaviors, and a stronger belief and motivation for what I am attempting.
There is a webinar here on futures.io (formerly BMT) where TST introduce/present Ray, which IMO should be high on the must-listen-to list. Before I became a more active viewer on this site, I heard about Ray via Markus Heitkoetter over at Rockwell Trading where Ray did a presentation. I may have paid a good bit more than if I had gone through futures.io (formerly BMT) or TST, but I also get my own DVDs to listen to and actually I don't mind at all. It has been an extremely valuable experience for me. There's lots of homework to be done and many disciplines to be laid down, but the rewards are enormous, not only for ones trading life but in ones personal life also.
Highly recommended.

i am interested in work on my mind training, i try to learn, and coach me, i thought this can help me in something so interesting as intuition
i have taken the 2 days intensive idt, $250offer, i was waiting something more focus to the development of the intuition, but instead we get a lot of ideas, suggestions, but it is missed the how, the key, the process, i extract some conclusion in
maybe the problem i was having is accept that the 3lot strategy did not work, and I have a lot of good feeling about that, and that was my first strategy that i apply well, and the first that let me earn money, i had an idea, I got it!
but so what?
after …
he spend a lot of time with slow examples of top personalities, and explain his view about the learning process, and as conclusions ,
the importance of beliefs and the values of a person as a prerequisite to success.
Filter information, focus and full power
and be accountable
It helps us to align the effort trough our goal
but about the intuition...only a component that is neccessary, the key for become top perfomer
it comes after that process?
also he spend time about other issues mkt related, mkt view, setup, stop,
and i miss that his trade entry (when everything is in alignment) were live,
because he has done in sim, strange, as we can wait from a pro-trader-teacher-intuitive developed
i can re watch the movies, and read the power point, but we have here, nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) stuff, a lot of material to work
