They use aggression bars that are based on volume breakouts. It looks interesting because it flags potential reversals or exhaustion which is obviously a key point for either entering or exiting a trade.
I have not subscribed to them, but the guy Justin is partners with Dave Johnson (I think it's Johnson) at eminidaytrader.com. They have another package of software over ther that I did subscribe to for a little while.
I think they are decent guy's, knowledgable, and responsive. The eminidaytrader.com method is market profile based and i think they employ those concepts into their software and trade of a 1 min chart.
My biggest complaint is that when it comes to any vendor selling trading methods, software or education, it's always expensive. They are not the worst though.
I second GoodTrader's sentiment. I asked nicely and no there is no free trial, low cost trial or monthly lease. It cost's 2 grand to see their hand. I'm always amazed that vendors are surprised potential clients don't want to spend thousands for an untested and unverified trading method.
I tried the software for month. I had to pay the down and cancelled
It after the first month.
I think the software is a good tool, but it's just that, a tool. There are some other things that come along with being a member of DTTM and the main thing is the nightly member update. That is done be Dave Johnson. He has been trading a long time and uses market profile to determine market state and structure. He gets his key areas from MP as well as his longer term bias.
Bottom line is that the tool and the concept is a good one along with Dave and MP component. Ultimately it alone does not determine success or not. I struggled with the software, but I struggle with every approach I've tried. I think it's because it's about me and not any method or software. I think we need to find a method that appeals to us and of course it needs to be profitable. But the real key is ourselves. Being patient, disciplined along with risk management are the real keys to success in this game. IMHO.
