I wanted to start a thread on this unfortunately discontinued product: PortfolioMerge.
It was a relatively affordable product allowing to analyze portfolios of systems running in TradeStation via the export in XML RINA file format of the Strategy Performance Report.
I found this product easy to use and to the point (particularly if compared to Portfolio Maestro - a new product of TradeStation).
Main functions available:
- Performance Summary
- Graphs: Closed Trade Equity Curve, Monthly Net Profit, Accumulative Monthly, Monthly Distribution,
- Drawdown Analysis: Closed Trades Drawdowns, Depth Distribution, Length Distribution
- Periodical Returns (Annual and Monthly)
- Market Analysis
- Monthly Return Matrix
- Correlation Analysis
- Trade List
*If* the order / purchase mechanism works 100%, I am a little concerned in purchasing a product not supported anymore.
Nobody answered my email sent to email address listed for the website owner.
FYI, there is a new program called Portfolio Analyst that is similar to PortfolioMerge. It has a few more features as well. Link is here: Trademaid Systems.
The developer is very responsive to input - if you want a new or revised feature just shoot him an email.
I have no affiliation with either program, developer, etc.
I'm glad you mentioned that. While I don't have first hand experience, I've also heard that other system builders nearly always tank OOS. I will probably give a try when back from vacation.
