Methodology is based on candlesticks only. Pure price action. I believe it works, just very difficult to learn it(for me anyway). Imho, owner is honest and a real trader.

Mark , aka--'NihabaAshi' uses WRB (wide range body) analysis.

His website has always been a bit weird (for at least 5+ years). When I write weird, I mean that he is very anal retentive (which can be a good thing).

He really values contributions from posters and encourages alot of discussion.

He has changed primary daytrading instruments a few times in his career; from ES to TF now.

I always had a real good feeling about his educational material; just never purchased anything.

His stuff is modestly priced and if someone wants to explore techniques without any indicators, this is certainly an option.

He has been active on ET for many years. I believe his materials are suited for daytrading mostly.

He does have (I think) some bonus programs or something like that if you meet his requirements to post certain types of questions in his forum, etc...

Very proactive. Also, he still uses those old IRC chat room(s).

But hey, whatever floats your boat. Certainly gives a decent amount of information (way more than many sites) before you have to plunk down some money for one of his 1st tutorial/trading methods.

It is subjective but has a rule-based foundation.

peace

Hi BabyPowder,

Did you ever try thestrategylabs services! I found the site during a late night night search a while back and have always been interested. I probably will be signing up soon. Any thoughts?

Also, I'm not sure if your aware but his name is listed as M.A. Perry. By chance would this be the same Perry whose won the Big Mikes' Gold Award for Best Method in 2011?

I've purchased his material which I am going through now. It's not a huge learning curve but will required some serious time investing on your part in understanding his concepts.

I have not traded with real money yet because I am still in the learning phase. However I watch the market in real time to look for the confirmation signals and patterns that he mentions in his material. I have also posted many of DOK on his site. I do not use any indicators but I do use the market profile in conjunction with his material.

Hope this helps.

I recently found this educator because I was doing a google search on price action techniques and strategies. It caught my interest because he seems really intricate with his methods, almost scientific in his approach. I just downloaded his free WBR Analysis Tutorials, chapters 1-3, which has about 60+ pages. I started reading the material and thus far it looks pretty interesting.

The WRB's or Wide Body Range analysis serves as a method to gain an overall perspective on price action as it relates to current market conditions. This analysis helps traders identify volatility and supply and demand levels, which in turn provide an edge in predicting price direction. The WRB is just one piece of the puzzle and it doesn't provide trade signals. For that, you need to either: (i) use a free signal strategy he offers, (ii) use your own trade signals in combination with WRB analysis (which could enhance your results), or (iii) you can also purchase his trade signal strategies, which evidently are a nice bunch and they work well with his WRB. So what I think he's saying is that before you ever consider pulling the trigger (trade signals) you must have the fundamental perspective on the market and this is provided by understating his WRB Analysis. Sounds nice in theory, but at this point I am cautiously optimistic about this.

In any case, thus far I am interested and continue to read and learn his methodology; but I realize there still a long way for me. I think M.A. Perry comes across as someone who is genuine and not necessarily someone who is looking to sell you something. He seems very honest about the amount of work you will have to do (read his Q&A section on his website). Also, I found TheStrategyLab.com on a recent report by Dean Handley as one of his top picks of trading educators.

I hope this information helps. If I decide to purchase his entire program, this means I will go in more depth and I would like to keep posting my progress on this forum, and perhaps meet other traders who are doing the same so we can compare notes and help each other out. Good luck to everyone !

I'm about to purchase his full material soon. As in my mind it seems like the only legit option to successfully learn how to trade from a real successful trader. Have you seen his insane performance? The amount of points he's pulling from the market.

I skimmed the first few chapters, and just being made aware of the wide range bars, changed my outlook on them. I remeber always seeing them and new a big move had occured, so i would usually expect a pull back, but it never came.

After reading about them and when i opened up charts i can see how they are precursors to massive market trends usually.

Anyway any updates from anyone using his techniques?

Blown away by the performance that he posts. Perhaps he trades large amount of contracts at a time. Downloaded the free indicator. Will attempt to get my hands around this system and see what kind of edge I can extract from it.

Where did you find a free indicator to download on his site? I don't see one. From what I know, he is against using indicators so I guess that is why I am asking.

It's currently the 4th one down on the above page. Dated Jan 10, 2016. I haven't had much chance to look at it. Loaded the indicator, nothing popped out to me. Working on a few other systems right now. I plan to circle back later and revisit this and do some testing on it at another time.

hope this helps.

I noticed after the fact that this indicator is from this site not thestrategylab? From what I read, they don't believe in indicators just price action?

I think you're correct. This indicator i guess is supposed to pick out what they are seeing without indicators. Thought I would make it easier. I think they are also supposed to find hidden gaps. I think finding hidden gaps would be easier with an indicator...you know cuz it's hidden. If you make any headway on this please let me know...I would be interested to know what you find out.

Dasani,

I do not use indicators but I'm not against someone that does use indicators. Also, I'm not a programmer or coder. I do appreciate other traders that are programmers and coders that are freely sharing their codes here at futures.io for others to use even though I myself do not use them because I prefer to be a discretionary trader using a rule base trade approach.

I've met traders out there that got the indicators correct based upon what I see in their charts. Yet, be very careful because I've also seen a lot of inaccurate junk out there of my price action concepts that do not work or gives inaccurate information along with being shared all over the internet...essentially giving me a bad reputation because people think in error that I'm the one designing the stuff. In addition, there's a few trolls out there intentionally posting some bad indicators out there.

Therefore, if you come across something and you're curios if its an accurate representation of my price action concepts...just send me a pm here at futures.io to ask me to review it for accuracy. You should be looking for something that identifies WRB intervals, WRB Hidden Gap intervals, contracting volatility intervals, highlighting unfilled WRB Zones, embeds KMEs on the charts and maybe does a count of Down WRB Hidden Gap intervals versus Up WRB Hidden Gap intervals.

Once again, I'm not against people designing indicators considering I've seen some very clever stuff beyond just indicators. I just wish these the programmers and coders would contact me and ask for help in ensuring the stuff is accurate via sharing their charts with me for review. By the way, I've seen proprietary automation systems by traders that have embedded WRB Analysis with their trade signal strategies. I've also seen statistical analysis of their systems. There's some smart folks out there that know how to convert objective rules into codes.

As a reminder, WRB Analysis is not a trade signal. Its purpose is for traders to use the price action concepts and merge it with their own trade signal strategies to see if it improves the performance of their own trade methods or traders can use WRB Analysis to design their own trade methods.

Hi,

Yes, website hasn't been updated and there's a message there that explains the hospitalization.

Out of the hospital now, completed rehab and flew back home a few days ago. Still not out of the woods yet but I've been slowly setting up accounts for those like Rijas.

Rijas and I now have email communication. He now knows his account will be setup tomorrow. He also can ask for a refund through PayPal or me...a few have requested such and gotten refunds due to my illness that includes being in a coma for several weeks. Rijas decided to wait until I setup his account.

Not sure when the website will be updated but it really doesn't need to be because there's a hospitalization message on the homepage and at the free forum. I may edit the message because it doesn't seem to be informative enough via all the emails I'm getting by others that wonder why the website hasn't been updated and when will I be talking about WRB Analysis and the markets at the website.

I won't be active in the markets until late January (New Year) or February and only with the doctors approval.

Also, I now have hired a private nurse due to the crazy restrictions the doctors have on me...I'll be glad when this crap is all over with.

Regards,
M.A. Perry

ELITETRADER owner says wrbtrader' s (M. A. Perry) claims are "pretty outrageous".

He also admitted he never was exposed to the method after someone accused him of "being in" with me and than that person LIED. The ET owner than corrected the person about his LIE.

He now knows there are broker PnL statements all the way back to 2002, he now knows there are clients full brokerage statements, he now knows I maintain archives of clients real time trades for many years and he now knows I post real time trades and post a public archives for any one to view (registration not required to view).

Simply, the ET owner was not aware of such when he made the commentary "pretty outrageous" although I suspect he was aware considering him and I talk a lot about the trouble maker known as surf (nickname...not the user name). Surf and his cult just happens to have a big conflict with me after I exposed him for his hypocrisy on TA (he doesn't believe in it) while surf was promoting TA at other forums and supporting those that do believe in TA (e.g. Timothy Sykes and many TA threads by those he's friends with).

Results...a few trouble makers popped up and I helped get some of surf multiple aliases banned.

With that said, I'm not sure if you and I have talked to each other at another forum many years ago...that guy was a surf believer but I only say that because he made a few positive commentaries about him. In other words, I do know a "forexoil" from the traderslaboratory forum many years ago and that guy was a vendor that marketed his "get rich" forex indicator until the forum got rid of him or he got bored reading the negative commentary about his posts and then quietly disappeared on his own. He also had a short lived website (its now gone).

Not sure if that was you considering you're using the exact same user name here at this forum....maybe just a coincidence ?

Regardless, I'm now setting up Rijas account and you can ask him to report back his likes and dislikes. Simply, I got nothing to hide but I will say this...Rijas is require to document his progress (e.g. trades, statistical analysis or broker statements) as everybody else that's learning WRB Analysis and if he chooses to share such information with you or anyone else...he can do such and you can then decide if he's a scam too or the real deal.

Wish you good trading and hopefully you're not one of the surf puppets. If so, TA rocks !!!

Regards,
M.A. Perry
