I have been in the trading zone trade room for 3 days on a free trial and have been impressed so far with what I have seen and heard from the moderators.
I would like to get some feedback from anyone who has purchased the course.
How is the course?
Is it straight forward and easy to pick up what is taught?
I am also interested in this topic. I took a trial and I liked the way they trade.
However, I've been looking through reviews and some say they were banned after purchasing. I wouldn't want to get banned after paying $2600 which I believe is the lowest price today.
I've read another thread about this topic, and it seems some members have bought the course. Perhaps they can tell us a little more about their experience and if they are still able to log into the live trading room so as to make sure that you in fact get lifetime access to the room.
I will name some of these users, and hopefully they will post and help us out with our questions. They are: @AkLio, @webart, @mayazoro, and @evroom1
I would also be interested in more info on this room. I am seriously considering joining TTZ. So any feedback would be greatly appreciated. From what I can tell after spending a week in the room is they seem to have a good group of traders. I am concerned if their system will work with Ninja as well as it does with Sierra charts. As ninja doesn't offer market profile.
Thank you Tony for your response. I appreciate your fedback as I am seriously considering joining the room. I was curious about what product they use for market profile on ninja as I use "Final Algo " I spent a week in the room and liked what I heard.
They have two differnt MP indicators. One is free and the other one was customed programed.
I use the free one and it works great. I downloaded it from thier site. They have a whole desktop setup too which is very handy.
I use ninjatrader with Zenfire and I am happy. It seems like they have some deal worked out with infinity - but I like NT7 so I dont want to switch.
i like the trading zone. i also like that they expanded to cover australian-asian trading hours. as soon as the markets start moving again...and you can not sleep because you thinking about the market - do not tell my wife it will be nice to have a place to come hang out.
I purchased TTZ many years ago when it was a lot cheaper. It was one of the best purchases I made compared to the others. The most value I got was learning and understanding MP, S&R, Tape Reading, and the necessity to keep things simple. I also learned a lot about risk reward and money management. There are no secret tools or indicators, but they do believe to know something others do not. This may be true in the short term, but eventually you can learn these things on your own if you are willing to put in the years and research.
During the many months with them my trading took a leap forward. My trading solidified.
TTZ is one of those education places where you can learn some pretty good insights about MP, S&R, Tape Reading, and money management. It can help to shorten the learning curve.
The education does not happen in the room. Basically, you get to listen and watch and if you spend enough time in the room as a non-member you may eventually come to enough understanding to be able to follow along. Unfortunately, the room is mostly a demo & sales room with a pretty good sales hook using "secret" catch phrases and acronyms.... makes it seem all very hush hush private and exclusive. It is a slick business approach.
However, there are no secrets to trading. Anyone who says they have the secret or the private magic is full of baloney. Just by mentioning they have the secret should tell you it ain't that special if they are willing to sell you the secret.
Presently I am banned from TTZ because I became a vendor and pimped myself out as a trade educator. They have a no competition policy. Seems you have to become a TTZ "aficionado estudiante" for the rest of your life or you loose your membership.
So, IMHO, where you will eventually wind up, should you succeed at this trading stuff, will be a culmination of all the stuff you learn along the way all structured into something you design from all your influences and resources, conclusions, trial and error, testing, and trusting.
For every strategy, method, or system there is a trader. Hopefully you discover yours before you have to throw in the towel.
I took a trial. A lot of good. Not a fan of Gator but that's my issue. The only thing I can say is expect a lot of sales pressure on your trial. Don't post anything positive in the chatbox as they use that as an opportunity to flood you some more with more sales pressure.
I tried their trial because I trade the 6E and it gets kind of lonely at 1am. Only place I know of that offers a room at that time of night.
The lowest they will quote right now is $3199. What is the lowest sale price you have seen recently? I am in their 7 day trial now and they are doing great this week so far. Thanks.
its really hard to believe that some still push this crap. there is a 40 page thread at elitetrader detailing this charade. I ve been in their room before and it was a complete joke...Most of their so called winners won't be made in real time...Gator is the absolute worst trader i ever have seen..
ironman07 - I am not sure if you mean I was "pushing this crap" because I asked a question and happened to mention my initial observation during my trial period? Is that not allowed here in your opinion?
Take the time to do your own research before you throw $3000 to the fire... the internet is your friend...if your a beginner they may look good to you till you figure out they cant produce winning results in real time... Any system can look good for a short time and on a sim.. the tick offset method they use is simplistic and cam be had for free... save your $$
I have not kept up with this site. The sale price I was referring to was 2-3 years ago.
I took his 7 day trial but after reading reviews of his site here and other places, I decided against it.
The following user says Thank You to ct1942 for this post:
I actually joined TTZ a little over a month ago after spending about 7 trading days in the free trial and asking a lot of questions. It is funny how everyone has wildly different opinions about TTZ or any other vendor for that matter. For me personally I have learned a lot from TTZ, especially about Market Profile. Greg is a really good teacher, and he makes really good calls in the live room although he certainly has losers too. I do agree that Gator is not nearly as good as the rest of the TTZers and I will ignore his trade calls - plus I find him kind of annoying. But there is a long time trader in the room who makes excellent CL calls and has done a couple of trainings for us too. This by far makes up for the weakness of Gator IMO. Anyway, I find my own trades now using what I learned from Greg, DOS, and crew and have done well in my trading as long as I maintain my discipline. Anyway, for me TTZ has worked out well so far.
I believe they clean up their active list from time to time. I am not active there so I was dropped. I decided to see how they were doing later and after a personal appeal they let me back in. I sent more than a few people to the site. I received value for the time I was there. Currently I have been removed again LOL. I have not tried to get in again or appeal as I can actually trade and do not need them. I wish them well. Given what I know of Greg he will honor his room agreements if asked.
