Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

A better technique IMHO if you trade break outs is to wait for an pullback during the break out and then entering in the direction of the breakout after closing of the bar in the direction of the breakout (so after that pullback is finished)

you will miss some of the break outs but you will increase your profitable trades.

I described it before here :

and especially here :

thnx man, but i dont trade break out. i have 4 set ups using renko alone.

wish you suceess in your trading!

The markets are non-linear, dynamic systems. Chaos analysis has determined that market prices are highly random with a trend component. The amount of the trend component varies from market to market and from time frame to time frame.

Hi, my name is Nhat. i been trading in forex about 2 years. i lost about 10k since then after that i went to work for 1 years and save up a small capital also trade demo. From yesterday i have my account set up with $2000 with MB trading. i also have a trading methodoly, money management and a plan to turn this account to 30k at the end of the year.

+ Trade eur/usd
+ Daily working time start at 3am est time.
+ Ninja trader and MBtrading ( renko with 7 ticks)
+ Spreadsheet for money management and trade records.
+ take screenshoot every trade that i took.
+ Daily target pips 40.
+ BE HONEST to my self.

I believe your goal to be achievable. If I didn't believe it then I could not believe in my ability to do the same thing for myself. However, as I've read your posts I wonder if you truly have a plan or a well defined edge as @Linds points out.

Given that you are trading live here I assume you have calculated that you have a market edge. How did you work out that you have an edge?

Before you go too far in this effort, I suggest you answer @Linds question. You might even post the answer here in your thread. Suggest you even document your edge here.
