I got fired last week for saying a vulgar word. Not to a customer or towards any person, but just as a phrase, like
WTF . Turns out the company was being pressured to let go of people and due to my raises and promotion, I was the highest paid person on the team and so they used that to let me go.
Congrats to the soon to be dad . Sorry to hear about the firing too . Doesnt sound like much of a "team" if they let the high value people go like that . I was in the same boat where I was the senior manager at top scale and they found ways to make the task undoable , so I left and started my own company . I rewarded them by taking my customers and some of the "team" with me and making my former employers task a little more "undoable" day after day after day LOL .

It's not a team. They were told to fire 10 people, so anything that anyone does is subject to review. I think 3-4 people had left by the time they got to me. Some put in their two weeks, only to be fired immediately. Very strange place.

Most people who haven't done it, don't know the pressure one goes under when having children. I can tell you that it has been a huge hurdle of stress to get through when things like that happen.
I wish you the best and keep us posted.

So, one door closes and another opens. I was hired for another position starting next Monday making more money with more manageable hours.
today, made 31 ticks and I've been off the screen for the last 2.5 hours. Not a bad way to start the week.
Many thanks to the site and all the contributors. Great source of info.

As much as I agree, my wife requires some assurances...when I go back live, that is my goal and will cover all of our living expenses.

Sorry to hear about the firing, but glad you found another job so soon, and hopefully at a place that appreciates your talent more than the last one.
