How you guys been, see you had some up and down this week. What went right the 4.5 point day and what went so wrong the -6.5 point day
i been trying to ficus on my trading this week, made about $3,000 in the 5 days
Yesterday how ever
My internet went down when i was in a live crude oil trade......Couldnt get through to AMP trade dest to close my position. It had a dial tone but when it connect the phone line went dead!!
!!HEART ATTACK!!
When my internet finally decided to come back on, i went to see how much i lost and it was about $680 on 2 contracts
BUT.......there was an open position on my account :-/
God know what AMP did but i had another order filled long, lucky i caught it just in time and i made 20 ticks back
But what the hell, i called them and said flatten my account not reverse my position!!
Good job. I have had the same thing happen but not with AMP with ATC Brokers. Glad you ended up positive.
Losing week for myself, again. I think I am working out some kinks which is good. Last 3 weeks I have been so busy that I rarely have time to do any thought about trading besides actually trading. That will change soon and can't wait to get back to it.
I just realized at about 3pm today that my negative crazy terrible horrible day (Friday) was a day before a major holiday. I am NEVER EVER EVER to trade those days, but I did anyways? Oops as I forgot and my fault. Amazing how it took 3 days to realize!
Followed my rules today, identified a possibility for more 'ranging/consolidation' of markets' but looking for longer term short. With the FED involved, who knows, and not overly concerned, but was 'hoping' for a nice short but not too much which shows I am getting better with my emotions. I am working hard on not getting overly frustrated from wanting to 'force' the market.
It boils down to just poor trade management. Had I not moved my stops today, I would have been WAY AHEAD of where I ended up and without half the effort.
Today was a confusing day for me and it showed in my trading. I was very quiet which is something I need to change that will keep me more focused. I got a little emotional there for a while and let it to get to me, but I felt strongly there was a nice long! And I gauged it correctly!
Wife did a swomp romp run (Marine Corps sponsored Mud Run) this weekend and got an infected leg and kept me up a bit of the night, so I decided to not get up at 4am and sleep in.
I think I am working out some kinks which is good. Last 3 weeks I have been so busy that I rarely have time to do any thought about trading besides actually trading. That will change soon and can't wait to get back to it.
I didn't see any more trades. I stopped before price reached 824 for a short.
