Interesting. Normally I use the third Thursday or third Friday rule. That is generally when volume takes over. But apparently not this time. Always a good idea to keep the front month in your sights so you can see this switch.

Mike

So I guess I wasn't so wrong. As long as I remember It's third Thursday of the months, but if month started on Friday it's second Thursday. This month started on Thursday and that might confused a lot of people.

I thought there is something wrong with my memory already and I have to write things down. LOL

Wait a minute. Today is Friday. Switch over day suppose to be on Thursday. Third Friday is last day and everybody suppose to switch day before. So if today is Last Day that means that yesterday was a switch over day right? I'm so confused right now.

Technically rolllover was yesterday but volume was still on December so I traded that month but today March has more volume so this is the contract to trade today.

BTW rollover is very easy for me as most of my charts are on front month perpetual except low time frames so that way it is so easier and for big time frame charts that is the only way to get good historical data.

I think confusion of terminology between 'rollover' and contract switchover etc..

Volume is all you need to follow and whenever that pop up comes from Ninja, then I start watching...

Ok, today I was a bit groggy. Otherwise, I would have taken the short closer to the open.

I do believe we are headed quite a bit lower, so my focus lately is not so much to worry about the little pullbacks, but focus on the longer term trend direction with those pullbacks. I am a bit too aggressive and it is costing me, but much easier to go with the flow then go against.

You can use this system with the TREND as it sure makes it a lot easier! That is my goal!

I was thinking a lot about this weekend and my ultimate setup is a breakout on the longer term charts, a pull back and then blamo, get that one... Something that would be yummy to get.

Today was a decent day, I saw it pretty clearly but it was a bit jumbly and my stops were all 6 ticks instead of 5, which was strange to me.

I decided to end my day at a support area and unclear MACD's.... Glad I did....

I have also been focusing on what to do in ranges/consolidation zones... My learning keeps coming...

Friday will be my last day of trading till new Year! I will spend that time learning, studying, reflecting etc..

He has to kids sleeping in the morning. I guess that's the reason for low volume. It's better than it use to be.
I can hear everything pretty well with head set.
