Very interesting way to look at it. Conventional VOL analysis usually interprets it as exhaustion.
Would appreciate pointing to a couple of resources using this concept.
Though no shadow dudes , please.

TRADES 29092023

As mentioned in the pre-market analysis I decided to go long in the early hours of premarket and call it a day after everything went as planned.

CONLUSION:

Both BULLS and BEARS got almost equal measure of fun.
Biggest fun would be for the brave (read experienced) soul playing both sides and having last laugh.

REST OF THE YEAR PROGNOSIS FROM THE REAL LIFE TRADERS
SP500PROGNOSIS

Please let us stay here in our topic which is intraday trading. It is a craft, a performance disciplin, a skill game. Comparable to playing chess or being a professional in sports. Mixing it with long term prognosis is not good.

Thank you :-)

20230929 post market

trades 9 29

ES & NQ 29

  • Not an easy open for me. ES & NQ were moving in different directions. ES filled its gap early and was weaker in general
  • As my no 1 rule is "see what is" i switched to long but with small targets
  • I was early on the short side but it lasted a long time that NQ started to sell off. At latest after the m5 candle with the yellow arrow i thought: whats up here, why don´t they sell it?
  • We now have a 7 day balance with a look above and fail

I interpret the volume peak in combination with price not moving fast as an absorption.

In Wyckoff the sequence is
  1. Exhaustion
  2. Absorption
  3. Initiative

So it fits as a part of it

I recommend the book from Ruben Villahermosa: Wyckoff 2.0

Hey kazbek966,

could you please comment more on this? Maybe with a screenshot of your volume profile?

Thank you,
Daniel
