Making some good progress on my APEX 25K Evals about 30% there trading the NQ with 20 Tick (5 Pt) stops still need to widen out my targets as I have cut alot of winners shorts as Ill show in the chart

Good trend day on Friday, I am a serial scalper so my risk reward is always 1:1 or sometimes even 1:.05

This really killed me on Friday as I didn't hold my winners however I have to trade my personality and style.

One thing I will need to accept if I trade this way is that I will need to be taking more trades.

I am ok with that, the NQ offers plenty of opportunities everyday for us scalpers.

A typical trade for me is 40 Ticks of risk for 20 Ticks Reward.

So I have some strengths as a scalper my biggest confidence boost is the consistent size of my losing trades as that was a big trading demon of mine.

This week I will be working on keeping that consistency and being mindful of my winning trade size as I will hold trades a little longer.

I have found sobriety to be a pretty significant trading edge ironically, re-reading the Best loser wins, it is interesting to read how great traders process there personal lives.
Market Wizards also gave me great insight into the real work and focus and perseverance it takes to make it in the speculation game.

Warren Buffet said something at his annual share holder meeting this weekend that stuck with me.
"Sit down and write your own obituary , and then spend your life embodying and becoming those things."

I will be doing that today and I will make it a journal entry for the world to see

Decided to switch my risk reward logic so I force myself to hold my winning trades as long as I can

MY R=20 TICKS

I will keep risk at 20 Ticks but will make my Reward 200 Ticks, this will dramatically reduce my hit rate however I actually believe it will be much more profitable

Two accounts were blown
1 50K
1250K
All 4 of my 25K are within 200 dollars of being blown up also.
Went on tilt and put on some ridiculous size and blew one of my 250K accounts

and the other account was due to trying to have a super tight stop loss and I took 10 consecutive 2.5 point losses on 2 lot NQ trades which was a 1000 USD loss and hit a trailing drawdown after I went on tilt with max contracts to make it all back.

Its crazy how those trading demons come out when you can't admit you are wrong

Really proud of myself today.

I am 820 bucks away from passing 50K Eval with Apex however instead of taking a sub optimal trade to try and make money. I just logged out and called it a weekend

Still have plenty of work to do on my 250K Evals (3) but going to stop on a high note and take the win

As a discretionary trader my edge is in accountability and consistency, and after reading The Best Loser Wins making all of my trading public from this day forward I believe that will be the sobering accountability I need to take my trading to the next level and see my weak spots by journaling them daily in this public forum. I will update my balances end of day to keep myself honest and all my records public. I will be depositing another $500 USD into my personal account once it is updated in ninja trader I will update here.

I Day Trade Nasdaq Futures utilizing 1/5/30 Minute charts. I use a 1 minute Tick Index for price divergence and strength and weakness, it allows me to refine entry and keep my risk mitigated. I have VWAP and 3 Standard deviations plotted horizontally on all my charts session/weekly/monthly. This allows me to quickly locate price and value areas.
