Well I picked a pretty crappy day to swing trade .
Holding massive losses on a swing right from the open long.
Will post a video. No rhyme or reason to get long and over leveraged
But I did.
Long now nasdaq and so 3 contracts nq and 4 contracts es

Was long 10 lots 5 nq 5 es

Exited es at profit.
Down 224 now in nasdaq 5 lot

Acct at 3,400 net today. Bought 5 nq at 9.30 and held until 20 minutes ago.

Made money but not worth the agony. Swing trading sucks imo.
Unless you day swing . Day swinging I could have trend is opportunity today

Acct is only about 1000 away frome shutting it down due to a 200% return.

Today was tuff to hold all day very bored and the swings omg. Down 1200 down 90 them down 300 etc. I'd rather turn m burn scalps ornat least say swing
Swing trading no thmk you.. hated every minute of it

I wanted to say that I'm not really a swing trader.
Swing had it's pluses. Obviously it's so you do not need to screen watch. It's agonizing to swing trade and screen watch. I was being negative on swing trading but I can see benefits if u don't want to screen watch.

Anyway hopefully next week I will hit my trading goal with this account.
I'm up over 100% net of all fees in 3 days.

I started doing this because I am trying to show that instead of the get funded programs that you can do your own small account live and learn so much more than my paying to trade demo!

Any questions?
Anyone else here posting live results?!
Tomorrow I'll try more scalping.

N maybe a day swing or 2.

I'm always a buy the dip kind of guy.

I'm looking to buy deep dips tomorrow

Good luck

Any questions?

Yes I've been lucky but I also have edge and skill

I made enough on Friday to fulfill my goal of a 200% return off of a small account challenge.

It started out as a scalp day pre market for me as and then I decided to buy some micro es longs right after the open due to my, we need an up day bias!

I was doing well scalping but for most of the day the micro es longs got slaughtered
As I held and held. When I was up 670 on my scalps in micro nq I was down , 720 on my long micro es. Finally I decided mayday I need more power.

Due to my account value being significantly higher than the 1600 start start point I decided to start trading the mini es instead of the micros

I continued to hold my long micro es as well.

I ended making roughly 1600 for the day but paid 190 in fees etc.

The mkt came all the way back and I held exiting my long micro es for a 97 dollar loss but my mini es made 964 and my micro nasddaq roughly 650 so I was in good shape.

Holding from 9.40 open to almost the close again was a great challenge and taught me amazing things I highly recommend trying it even if just a live 1 lot micro.

My timing on my swings has been way off. My management of swings has been non existent because I didn't do anything but buy n hold all day! Yes there is opportunity in day swinging but you would need to trade that premise a lot until you came up with a good game plan with risk management. For me my risk management was my scalping gains. It was my hedge and it is my edge.

I said I was going to work on this acct part time but I obviously was consumed with finishing it and completing it. Which I did in one week.

Trading is never easy and I could taken 1000s of different paths and had a very similar outcome or I could have lost obviously.

Account started with 1600
Current balance $ 4,801.00

Net gain of $ 3,201 for the week or 200%

Challenge successful and no funding needed.

I learned a ton doing this about trading and myself as well as now I have some new novel trading ideas to run simultaneously while doing other trades. You must always be thinking 3 dimensionally about the markets to stay fresh and fun.

I want more people making money and trading more because in order to grow I want and need the liquidity. Do not give up hope. It took 10 years of work to be able to sit down and make money but it could all be gone tomorrow on any number of screw ups I might make. Also some luck involved.

I will post here a little more but I will answer questions if you have any. Good luck and always be trading!!

I'm not sure if my acct statements be are clear or not but if not clear I'll figure out a better way to get a clearer picture.

I rewarded my self for completing this challenge with a bottle of champagne and a piece of chocolate cake... Solo.

Have a great weekend.

Does anyone have any interest in me continuing to trade this account and post results occassionally?

I thought I might get a little feed back from other traders or interested parties but trading is a lonely game!

I have a bias every day and I typically follow it but I will trade long side and short side during the day l. Not simultaneously but one way or the other.

If I wanted to really optimize this account I would say longer term scalps if you can nail the cycles could really pay well. So many opportunities even with 1 lot micros to make serious money. If you can learn to trade futures and build it up then you surely can make money like few have ever seen but understanding and respecting that it can all be gone in an instant

You just have to watch how many other traders posted a comment since you opened the thread, it was just 1.

I would say nobody is intererested

Lol. I'm not caring really either way. Apparently people are looking at what I'm doing since there were 700 views or so...

Doesn't matter to me but I'll keep posting results here so people who actually trade can see where their money is going. To my accounts obviously.

Ur comment was pretty funny.
