It is a good feeling trading your own money. I'm pro-trader evaluations, I just finished Uprofit yesterday and have a few funded accounts around, but at the end of the day I honestly just like trading my own real money. It's mine, i can get it anytime I want, I don't have to split it. So I feel you. I also have a Tradovate account, you'll like it.

I'm not telling you or anyone what to do, but I took advantage of being able to set my own personal daily stop loss amount at Tradovate (or any broker really you can do this). Once you hit it, that's it you're locked out for the day. No breaking rules and losing your account, just slows you down. Has saved me more than once for sure. Just thought I'd mention it incase you weren't aware, it's there somewhere under the account settings.

Yes! I like that the only rules I have to abide by are my own and those of my broker. Also, definitely like not having long delays in payouts and splitting it. I hadn't passed, and I was already annoyed with the prospect. lol

That's a really solid suggestion on the max daily loss. I'll implement this tonight (for tomorrow on). I can definitely see that saving me some grief. Thank you!

Thank you! Today was a bit turbulent for a live starter day, but I survived. I wired $2k to Tradovate yesterday at about 1 and was good out of the gates this morning. I ended up with $720 in profits, but spent $99 on their active trader subscription fee and of course the $13 fee for CME DOM, so at the end of day 1, I'm up $600 from where I started. Obviously I was trading smaller due to new account caution and limited margin with only $2k. Hoping I survive tomorrow and really start building up the equity next week trading 3-4 contracts rather than 1-2. I'm quite excited It's still surreal to think I can actually have them wire profits to me and it be REAL! Wild.

Great start, congrats. But please slow down a bit, sorry but you started with an 2k account and are already talking about 3 or 4 contracts next week, in my opinion a bit too fast

WAY later... I just finished day 8 on Apex. Up a little over $8k.

So far, so good. I can't bring myself to try and create multiple accounts until I at LEAST get one of the paychecks. I'm due for one at the end of next month. If things keep going as they are, and I expect they do, should be a very substantial 4 month paycheck (if it pays).

I've only had 1 interaction with support thus far, and it was quick, friendly, and helpful. The dashboard leaves something to be desired but at least there's a chart for daily history I suppose. It's updated once a day only, so today's profits aren't seen until this next day, which is fine.

I actually signed up because I got SO tired of the daily drawdown killing me on e2t and TS after I had 6, 7, 8k. I'm talking months and months of that. Since I started trading Apex live, it's given me the patience to trade smaller and more controlled in e2t and TS. I actually pass E2t in about 40 mins when the market closes today, and am 1/3 through TopStep step 2.

Odd to try these for almost 2 years, and then pass them all during the same few weeks. I will say that I'm the type of person that has a bad black/white view of things. If I'm not at 100% accuracy, I get pretty annoyed and threw in the towel. Even if I had $9k+ (I have the 150k accounts). I know a trader needs to take losses (took a $1k loss yesterday in my live account), BUT.. I think in all the pain of the last couple of years, I've realllllly strengthened my accuracy. If I can keep a handle on these loss days now, it's going to be a very big year. Finally, fruition. Man what a feeling.

Apex account looking strong. Still just the one loss day.

150k Gauntlet Mini passed... just waiting on the email from them. I assume it's an email? Scared it will go to spam or I'll miss it. lol The paranoia is real!

Took a hit on my TopStep step 2 account yesterday (about 1500), but then last night saw a beauty of an ascending wedge forming around 10PM and went short 3 contracts. Woke up at 5 up around $2400 so I took it. So sitting around $3400 now in step 2 there. Good enough for me for the day.. esp combined with Apex profits.

My plan is to use all 3 (as I've been doing the evaluations tohether), and open a live 4th soon of my own. My thinking is that I shoot for around $500-1500 a day with each, and if any hit -500, move on to the next and leave the account in tact. The hop is to keep emotions in check and spread my risk out. We shall see!
