Not for the complete journal, but to capture my trades so that this is easier to generate reports like how I do on specific days (for some reason Tuesdays are good days, Fridays are so, so and Mondays are close to break-even) or how I do between 9:00 - 10:00 every day, etc.
Could you describe how you use One Note and Excel to keep your trade info. I did use a lot Excel, but never One Note (I just read it from your post). I'm looking for a way to facilitate my capture of my trading activities
Happy new Year to you and to Big Mike forum menbers
I've not figured everything about how to do this but Richard seems to have a great way to link charts and journal entries on this link and YouTube video.

I've only used Excel, but the video looks cool. I've tailored my journal in order to analyze conditions I think are important. Nevertheless, I'm definitely interested in seeing what's out there and tweaking/updating my journal.
I've been working on a access database app.
You create your symbols, strategies and then enter your trades.
In the trade entry area apart from the obvious details you also record your mental and physical, entry comments and a tick box for did you follow your entry rules .
Exits are similar and then you press the calc button to calculate the trade stats, embedd a picture of the trade for future analysis.
