Ryan's Daily Journal

Hello everybody,

After reading a lot of topics on this forum the last few day`s i am convinced that this forum can help me succeed as a trader.
Lots of comments are very useful and i like the view of others on trades.

Instruments i trade:

European session: FDAX
American session: CL

2 types of entry`s i use, i will add a screenshot of my charts asap

Go with the flow:

- All 3 timeframes are rising/falling entry at pullback
- Trendreversal (short only) when the speed goes out of the up marketmovement and bounces at a sup/res lvl and the speed increses to the downside i jump in to the trade as price is falling again (near high)

If there are any questions please ask!

thanks in forward.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

This is my first Journal:

only 1 trade today (you can see it in the screenshot of the charts the first post)

10 ticks in an up-moving market i placed a stop above the daily high (FDAX reacts quite aggressive at high of day breakouts)

Maybe you wonder why only one trade, thats quite simple i don't trade that much on Monday i use it to have a clean week ahead for trading

anyone have any suggestions how to give my daily journals a nice layout/format?

1 trade for today,

i traded a neutral market, shorted as soon as the price fell again (a 3 tick lower high)
5ticks for me, i had patience but the market turned around so i moved my stoploss to entry+1 and moved the target to 5 ticks.

if i let it run i had a loss, so this time moving the stop and target was good

2 Trades for the day

1st Trade: +1 tick [double top short]

2nd Trade: +7 ticks [short at lower high (last shoulder, head-shoulders pattern)

Both are shorts at the lower highs, as you can see at the charts added

Problem for today was patience to let the trade roll (afraid of a losing trade), my target is 12 ticks that should have got filled if i stayed in.

1st trade i was sure that i jumped in too early because around the time that the floor opens the market makes sometimes it makes weird moves.
2nd trade i was afraid that it would go back in an uptrend, i didn't wanted to have a 1 tick winner.

Taking trades: A+
Patience: D-
