Tosoh corporation (japanese stock) sold at 1277, TP: 1242, SL: 1312

i closed this position for profit at 1255 at the open. wasn't comfortable with the position due to my previous post. Could go lower, doesn't matter to me. when my premise is no longer valid the trade is no longer valid.

didn't trade any japanese stocks, non hit my criteria. Instead joined a quick position, GBPUSD short, 12612, TP: 12599, SL: 12626. everything seemed a bit dry so just a quick hit and run here.

Great of you to post your trades. Looking forward to seeing more of your method.

Thanks. I post the trades just as I take them, you can check the timeline of my posts. I also post my management and exits.

All trades so far this week have profited.

Tosoh Corporation was the only trade where I exited a bit too early (at 50% of target level) as my premise was incorrect. regardless still a profit.

Usually i wouldn't trade this much but just for the forum, i wanted to put a little more work in.

Tokyu corp is still active, we see how this one develops.

I would next like to show my analysis also works for longer term trades, which could take a few days/ weeks to develop and you capture far more points. This is for those people who want to take advantage of less trades, less commission, less margin per trade.

The trades I win or lose, will be exactly the same ratio, it's all scalable. I just have to wait longer to know if i'm right or wrong.

For the longer term trades, i also trade options. I only buy out of the money puts or calls. I highlight cheap options i find to be bargains (for me) and use my same analysis. These options I can multiply my profit largely and I do not need to hold to expiry as my TP on the underlying is usually reached before.

Hi everyone,

a little background, i've been trading for a few years, I originally learnt trading via a friend who was a senior prop-trader at various banks pre-2008. Since then i've developed my own strategy and risk management. I trade of momentum and each trade usually lasts a few hours/2 days max, I will probably place 3-5 trades a week.

I track ccy pairs, indices and energy markets, and prefer particular setups. I have around 15 of my own filters before I place a trade. Was quite bored trading on my own, so thought i'd join a forum and share my thoughts before I place a trade.

Do you strictly use technical analysis for your trade?

Yes. I purely trade of momentum, highlighting buying and selling pressure.
