My objective of this is to keep track of my trades, keep myself honest and allow for other traders to provide input where possible.

Plan of Action:
  • Will be using Market Replay Data and Live Market however at the beginning I will only trading live market on SIM.
  • Will provide both 5m and 30m charts as well as Account performance.

Account Info:
Market: S&P emini
Type: Futures
# of Contracts: 1
Total Amount in Trading Account: $1500
Total Amount in SIM Account: $1500

Let it begin!

Why NT7 and not NT8
which is much more explosive
in terms of data applications?

in terms of data applications?

Hey,l 4tison,

Honestly I have used both. I prefer NT8 however some indicators were not available. Replay data was odd as well. For example I start 10-15-2018 @12:00am and I want to jump ahead to 8am I would have to play the entire time till 8am whereas in NT7 I could navigate directly to 8am immediately.

The indicators may be available now, so when I sign back on to do some sims later on I will check again.

I was online with the live market this morning and NT7 froze up. Super frustrating.

Luckily there was no trade, but if there was then NT7 just ruined that chance.

To conclude NT7 has been around a lot longer and therefore has more indicators.

Hope this answers your question.

You can move the slider or speed up the playback to jump ahead.

I tried that before but it wasn't working like NT7.

Perhaps an update solved this issue or I was doing something wrong.

Thanks for confirming this method is supported. I am going to give it try again. Cheers

So I have been on a bit of a hideous and that is because I have been doing reno and started a new job. I also had issues with switching to NT8 as some of my indicators were not compatible. In particular it was the SuperDrive indicator I got on this forum. I have since gone through a lot of pain with the help of some people on this forum to get it converted and drawing in NT8! Exciting times!

I got back on the e-mini yesterday and today, but had no trades as it was in a odd state and only moved 6 points in total over a 2 hr period. I am not about forcing a trade I am about waiting for that moment to strike.

Trade times 9 - 10:47am

Thank you for reading. Cheers

This morning i took a trade. The markets were what looked like a push and pull state, but I made a prediction just before I was about to head into the shower to race into work. Set my entries and exits without a stop loss and went into the shower. Came out and it was a target filled!

1 contract
1.5 points

Reasons for entry
Prior Day low was not broken
volumes to the buyers were higher then the sells
RSI was near 30
took the trade from 61 - 38 respectively

Took a loss today. Still on SIM but it feels the same.

I put a new indicator in the mix and it was just way too busy and very distracting. On top of that my parents have a trip planned to China and leave Tuesday evening and fly to Shanghai. They are going right into the heart of this coronavirus.

I can definitely say my head was just not in it today.

7.75 point loss

I listened to none of my other indicators and well this is the end results.

Update: I had a feeling the market was going to where I wanted, but I closed my trade and sure enough it came back down and I could have taken a smaller loss. However it could have kept going to make my loss bigger. I stand by my words above.

Took a trade this morning and removed that other Fibonacci indicator as it was draw wayyy too many lines all over my chart.

Today I took a reflection trade off the 50 for 3.25 points. I could have held for longer however the long wicks were making me uncomfortable, so I took brought my exit down. The market continued to go up.

* There was significant resistance at the 50 looking back
* RSI was just below 30
* lots of structure previously near 3252
* volumes were in favor
* 50 is a strong line

Update:

last week I was barely able to get online to check the markets and when I did there was no trade.

There was a huge drop, but that day there were lots of distractions and it was a monitoring type of day.

Today

there was also no trade, but also no losses.

I was tracking a trade and saw that

RSI was above 80 and a drop was coming
Lots of buying volatility

the trade should have happened when RSI went above 80 the second time around and taken it down.

However there were some distractions around this time and that did not happen. No trade = no losses, so I will take that as a win!

Thanks for reading! Cheers

Today I got on a bit late and was looking at a harmonic and Fibonacci extension and should have taken the retracement at the 50.

No trade today, but no losses.

Thanks for reading.

No trade today but no losses.

I was tracking a harmonic prior to the 930 bell and decided I would go downstairs to make my breakfast shake and coffee.

* By the time I came back up a AB=CD formed and it reversed and took off
* My other indicators were not really aligned with the reversal that happened, so not entirely certain I would have taken it anyways.

Cheers thanks for reading

Thanks for the recent updates. What indicators are you using, particularly the blue one? Also, is SuperDrive the same as SuperTrend?

Been busy lately and have not been able to get online in the morning, but today I was able to.

Took a trade today and went in as a buy at bid. Market popped down grabbed me and went up and i got out with 5 points.

Reasons for entry:
* RSI had just hit 17
* volume indicators were spiking with buys
* superdrive showed trend reversal

I entered a bit late at the entering around 930 can be tricky. I have seen lots of upwards trends at the bell and jumped in.

Have a good week and thanks for reading. Cheers!

In the last 2-3 weeks I have started fresh and have found Michael and another gentlemen who both use Price Action + EMA. I have petty doubled my account at this point, so this will be my new path forward, so thanks again.

The attached image are the trades I took today using the scalping method. I came out +, but took a few losses. But looking back at the losses my 2LPB prediction were wrong. Would love to hear what everyone thinks.

My Setup
3 contracts total
2 scalp + 1 runner

Score
4 - 2
+$225

Trade #1 - buy - stopped out
got in late.
got stopped out
volitility was high
also took the trade in a zone I marked as off limits
It turned into a good trade, but it did not work for me.

Trade # 2 - sold
got 1 pt plus 2 tick runner

Trade #3 - bought
took 1 pt

Trade #4 - bought stopped out
increased contact size 3 scalp + 1 runner
bought too low and not above the wick of the other candle.
got filled then stopped out

Trade #5- bought and stopped out
increased contact size 3 scalp + 1 runner
this buy was a rebound buy and was an emotional
agressive buy.
clearly I was wrong.

Trade #6 - buy
increased contact size 3 scalp + 1 runner
this i took on a 4500 tick chart
entry was sound from a hard rejection candle in a bullish trend
took 2pt + 2.75

Score
3 - 3
loss -$387.50

I enjoyed reading through your thread. Big change in strategy switching to price-action. You mentioned a "Michael" from whom you are learning. Can you share this name of this person/system?
