I'm sure you know this, but with Ninja you can set up a time exit for all your trades. I have that programed on my Dom to exit all my trades at 4:14 PM EST so that I will not carry a trade overnight.

I know I can program a strategy to do that for me, but how can I do that with the DOM?

Snooze you lose (slip)

Tuesday, September 28th - Medium sized gaps with good probabilities in ES and NQ fired off a trade. Both were winners, but got horrible slippage on ES so only got a 2tick profit on that one.

I noticed that it took about 3secs to execute the trade, which is troublesome. I wonder if this server is perhaps not fast enough, it's somewhat old (Dual-Core Pentium D chip). Does chip speed affect execution speed? I though network latency would be more of an issue than processor speed as it relates to trade execution speed.

ES: 1 win: +2 ticks
NQ: 1 win: +28 ticks

Probabilities

SHodson
I don't see a massive edge in the probability stats you have for the ES gap trade? - could you enlighten me further. Did Adam take that trade I wonder?

For the Tuesday gap trade, ES showed very good odds and profit factor. See below. The odds I published above are for the first hour trade, not gaps.

Who is Adam?

Whoops

Well that's two mistakes in one sentence!
I meant Scott Andrews and thanks for the new table.

Looking at his daily gap wrap it looks like he did fade the gap but didn't suffer as much slippage as I did. Also, it appears he didn't take a first-hour trade. He has not been trading the first-hour trades much as it's new, but his partner Tim, the primary creator of the system, has been taking them since March. I'm not always in the chat room and I've reached a point where I decide what to trade without regard to what he does so I'm not always sure what he's doing. The data they publish is used differently by different members, each tailored to their own needs. They don't necessarily like people just blindly following how they use it, they stress the importance of having your own trading plan that meets your personality.
