started a new traderdock 4/17/19 because of the 50% promotion going on and because it was a day where i felt that i would probably overtrade in my other account so to keep me from hitting the button i decided to use this.
Stats not really that good today either Im using this as more of a test of a more dynamic market driven target selection. but still trying to cut losers early. I actually had the opportunity to get a nice profit today if i would have held longer but with the selling i thought i might go down again so i let go of my positions by moving up my stop
this is why I have stop limits for the day the first 2 days i traded over 40 round trips commissions over 200 each day made 700 one day but netted 400 its just not worth it to have that many trades for me one bad day and bam. I was treating this combine like a lotto but I will use my normal rules even though i have to make 5000 by the end of the month. or at least i will try the rules will make you want to try to go all out to get to the next stage as fast as possible and because ultimately its is sim you will say screw it at some point and go for broke.
I thought i avoided the daily draw down yesterday but it looks like i didn't sent traderdock an email not really expecting it to be resolved but surprisingly they gave me a free reset. I was going to write them off but now I actually might take this serious I didn't take a trade today. Tuesday is my meeting day and i typically miss good trades and today was no exception. My only issue is that the TT platform doesnt naturally have a buy bid/ask button you have to create it using TT algo. But I will now treat this like my real account $300 daily loss limit. 3 wrong in a row done and no scalping.
wins 10 losses 70 total online trading really removes the discipline for me i really need to work on that. Today i took a trade because i just knew i could make money most of it was short of course since the market was rallying it only makes sense for me to do the opposite right. I really need to treat this more like a real account.
The urge to be right caused me to hit the Daily stop limit another reset on the account. I now can use the algos to buy/sell at the best bid and liquidate so this should help with some of my issues. my personal limits max daily loss $200. I am no longer using this as a bored account to trade in order to stop myself from trading my live account.
