my very first future trade. made 50 dollars. very nervous. I am using tastyworks. definitely not the platform you want to use to trade futures. I may switch to ninjatrader.

If you got out short and you did not reenter...is it because you still looking to short but didn't get the entry?

I don't want to over trade. That was my second future trade. I have a very small account, only 10k. I am afraid to lose money. That's why I didn't get back in. So far I only do one trade a day. Once I get comfortable. I will trade more

You would be a great candidate for the forthcoming micros... much better to trade while not scared

I've recently had these same feelings you describe, why not use sim-trading to work on strategy, execution, and confidence?

Once fear sets in it can cause compounding errors that are difficult to pick apart and analyze individually. sim-trading can help.

Cheers!

@snax @qinking126 If there's fear, you will most likely lose. A 10k account will be busted in less than a year trading e-mini. Maybe you both get lucky and it doesn't happen but this game takes years of experience to not f it up and even then you do f up every now and then.
