I managed to make an okay profit today, but today has been quite a bore. I managed to get $215 on the upward move around 9:40, but that was it. I feel like it's going to keep running but I don't care to keep sitting and watching all of this chop. I checked out CL and it's pretty much going sideways now as well. Oh well though, I can't complain about a green day
Today I realized, was a day where I must preserve my capital...
This morning has been an awful back and forth range on the NQ. I took two trades today, the first one I was actually up about $300 and ended up giving it back for a breakeven, I truly believed we would have a big rip to the upside. On my second trade I shorted the market and realized, I was dealing with some FOMO and a tad of frustration I hate to admit. So I closed all positions and am sitting back for the day. I am just glad I recognized I was becoming emotional and closed out my positions, I would have eaten a loss today, I closed out my position literally seconds before it would have ripped against me. This week has been quite boring for me, but that's okay.
Hey guys, haven't posted much. Been so sick I can barely look at the screen to type this. I rarely ever get sick and this hit me like a freight train. I entered my algorithm into the 30k TopStep. In backtesting it did good, and in sim it did good, so I so no reason not to. Just kind of debating whether or not to let it utilize 2 contracts, since it has rigorous risk management rules, but at the same time, I only have a $1500 dd
