Testing a new theory out this morning. Just testing. Not live. No indicators, just looking for a specific pattern on the 1000 tick chart. Again, just a theory and just testing. Results look good. First trade was 10 contracts by accident. Glad it wasn't live I may have had a heart attack. LOL! There were two trades since market open that I did not trade that would have reached target. Too early to tell if this will work long term. It popped into my head last night and I had to try it to satisfy my curiosity.
Stop: 40 ticks. Would like this to be much closer but 40 seems to work well right now.
Target 81 ticks
Move stop to BE +5 ticks after 40 tick move in my favor. I will try to reduce this some after I have more data.
If a reversal signal shows, move stop and place pending opposite trade 1 tick away. Some of my tests I had the opposite pending order too far away. I can set up the ATM strategy to automatically reverse on a stop out. I may test that as well.
More details to follow if this shows promise beyond just this small sample size.
40 tick stop on the 1000 tick chart is eating my lunch now. Markets sent in their tanks and me with just a butter knife. LOL!
Previous stop outs would have needed at least 50-60 ticks before they went to the good side. Not against doing that. Just an observation at this point.

Going to start recording my trading sessions and posting to YouTube starting Monday. It will just be the chart and my voice no video of me. I have been told I have the perfect face for radio. LOL! Seriously I just like to remain private. It's enough of a stretch for me to talk into a microphone. I will post a link to the channel once I have it up and running and the first video is posted. I may do a test video over the weekend to be sure I have everything set up right. I plan on posting every trading day sometime in the evening after I am done. This will give me time to edit out the dead time before posting. I promise no singing.
To make things interesting, starting Monday I am going to trade the account like I am starting with 1,000. I will trade 1 contract per 1,000 in the balance. Yes, I realize that is way more than you should but it is only 1k at risk. There will be a "reserve" fund that I can pull from if the balance drops too far below 1,000. Let's see how far I can get by the end of the year. I will start with a few marathon sessions then as the balance increases I will quickly reduce the hours that I trade. At some point during this challenge, I will trade each of the sessions during the day. Mostly US session of course, but some Euro and some Asia just to show there is opportunity all through the day and not just US session. Too many of my friends are complaining that they can't make any money because they have to work a 9-5. I want to take that excuse away from them.
3-5 right now with markets so volatile. In reality with the markets moving like they are 1-2 is more than enough to generate a decent income if you get on the right side of the move.
Very nice trade - I would like to think I would have taken the same trade..but for other reasons as I structure my read using different ideas/concepts.
I posted about this guy a few weeks back. Either he has deep pockets or he is just trading demo and wants people to think it is live. I hope for his sake it is demo but when he posts on another forum he talks about his losses like they were real.
