Still working on target 6.

For month of March, total of 14 sell trades. No longs. 5 profitable and 9 stop outs. Resulting in a down month. First image is for March only. Ninjatrader breaks down 10 lot orders to individual trades if they get filled partially. They do get filled at same price but if I get fills like 2,2,1,5 for 10 lot limit, it consider them as 4 trades. Reason why we see 92 trades...

Max draw down level for March is at -10,182.00 which is same level as February. Lucky to walk away with loss of -1582 for this month.

Second image: over all performance since 10/12/17

Third image: cash Account balance 48,941.78

Forth: weekly trade performance. Fifth: Monthly net profit.

Thank you @ratfink to reminding me an important fact. That is system can be failed at anytime. I have revisited risk/profit management area and working on how to be prepared well for such event.

Have a great weekend.

Back to aggressive account building mode. Adding additional 1000 to margin money to decrease my original risk is not the best move I can make at this time. I will consider this again WHEN/IF I can get this trading account to above 100k level.

4000 Maximum allowed risk(max draw down) per contract.(unchanged)
1000 to be able to meet day margin.
5000 total.

Current balance: 50,133.38
Number of contracts: 10
Pulling the plug when account drops to 10,000.00
Will add a car for every 5000 profit.

Out of 25k initial investment, 15k is currently at risk. It will be risk free when account hits 12,5000.

I am just playing this game as aggressive as I know how while respecting risk and accepting possibility of failure of the system.

Not at all for ES. In and out. Very little slippage on stops as well.

This month, I have made two trades. Yes. I have over ride the system and went in for short position. They were both similar trades. Previous day was big down day. market gaped up and went down, went back up making higher high then stall. So whoever shorted at the open would have gotten stopped out. Yeah?, I fired sell order. As far as profit wise, I came out of the trades in profit. But that is not the point.

I was beyond uncomfortable. Thoughts were storming into my head. "Why the hell did you take this trade when you have NO IDEA if you have an edge or not? You worked day and night to come up with this little edge which is working for now and this is your way to throw away the game? This will destroy the correct valuation of your system!"... This was the first time that I ever gotten this sick over a position. I hated every second of it.

Never say never but I am pretty damn sure that I won't be putting any manual trades from now. Big gambler in late teens to early twenties. Thought I have made it as a full time trader then lost it all twice..have gone through those, that feeling over two trades, tops the new level of feeling sick.

Thank you for reading and please excuse my errors on my part. English is not my native tongue.

has been completed. Moving on to target 8 at 65,000.00

Adding 1 more car to system.

Noise keep coming into my head. Again, tempted to put more into investment(Margin) portion to "feel" safer. The Hell with that. Staying as it is until 100k is reached.

Past two days, market had volatile days. Looking at ES chart, I couldn't help myself thinking how much money I have made if I shorted ES and followed the trend. After a couple minutes of day dreaming, I remember from my back testing, how trend following system has to suffer from many losing trades until it hits home run to be profitable and how I could not come up with successful method to profit from it.

Greed is not a bad thing but too much of it can sabotage my plan by temporarily blinding me with potential profit while hiding the potential risk. Having a shot at making money in this highly competitive market requires two things. Discipline and having an edge. We all know it but it is easier said than done.

I have not placed any manual trades since the last mistakes. System did not trade past two days.

Thankful to be able to keep a journal for myself here. I have and continue to learn by re-reading my journal. Re-visiting highly emotionally charged moments takes edges off from similar occurrences from present and future.

From my vantage point, it seems like you're really going out of your way to tamper with and sabotage your success. You recently took an impulsive trade that was not part of your system. I suspect that this is due to sheer boredom. If your system is continuing to make money and firing on all cylinders then why would you tamper with that? I would suggest that you find other ways to preoccupy your mind. Maybe you could begin work on new systems by running them through the same system development process as your last one. This could allow you to diversify your trading and prepare you for a potential and likely eventual demise of your current system.

Hi, Sazon. Thank you for your comment and suggestion.

You are correct. I am dealing with boredom because of lack of trades my system does. Isn't that funny? I was the one who wanted to have a less frequency trading system to reduce the cost of trades. However, compare to other emotional pit falls, I believe the boredom is easier to handle.

I have been working on a new system but will allocate more time to do so. It is a very good idea.
