Rrrracer , i am also excited , since i have not written any strategy on 60 mins timeframe which means it can go slow .
I was focusing earlier on the 10 mins strategy , but that generates too many trades , like the dvtrendv3 i have posted to public has 1500+ trade for same timeperiod and this one has less than 200 which means we save on commissions and also on the slippage.
No trades by the script today , but as i was watching news , there was lot of bad news about n korea and terrorist attack today and market kind of dropped from 2495 to 2488 , yesterday and i could not find any reason initially but later looked at twitter and lot of people were talking about it , i rather look at twitter than news. lol..
so this morning at opening i entered at 2490 manually and watched uvxy or vix closely , at 9:40am i was sure the vix is not going to creep up and apple went green so i just played dumb did not put exit or stop. Apple jumped up $1 and eveydamn friday trader jumped on it , spy was with no love till 11am where it jumped above 2496. I exited with 6 pts and shut the lid off the futures .
no trades for today , the atr is below 1 most of the time and the price swing thing is all green from last friday. nothing to do. script not firing .. at night or morning , Wednesday is the big fed meeting. vix is killed in sept , gold is also killed brought down to 1300 level.
Entered at 11:00 time at 2501 exited at close 2501.25 , very tense day but auto trading is best.
Meanwhile manually i did lose $25, damn so many transactions and so little result.
No trades on Friday , the atr was below 1 most of time.
Looking back to chart the bull rally which started in November has continued in sept 2017 . This is 9th arc of the bull with 20 days of up , micro looking is 9 days of up . Now it has completed on23rd sept.
To my surprise the buy strategy has done well in august than sept , reason being the ATR was always high in august despite the fall and rise ... so it did do good in the last month and this month the major arc it got and then the overnight volatility dropped so it could not take traders.
