Yesterday I placed 'trades' in tradingview as an exercise. It confirms the potential of my trading system.
Being able to execute it flawless will make the difference.

The mental change that I need to make is, taking every trade without any expectation on the outcome. So the upcoming days I will be focussing on that by commit myself to create casino tabels with at least 20 trades per setup.
It is an advise that I have had often before, but I internally had always resistance against it to it setup by setup.

One difference this time will be:
I will placing the trades using the 'Mantra':
' I don't know if this trade is going to work or not. The only thing I do know is that my setup has an edge'

To be able to do this exercise properly I am going to rewrite my ruleset into an even more black/white ruleset. I will do the testing on the NQ so I will also get the change to learn that future better and prepare myself for TST.

I will start trading the DAX in the morning again, starting Monday with a further reduced monetair risk.

For now: have a great weekend!

Good morning,

Here is my Big Picture for today. Bias is Short (based also on my PZ Analisys) if the price stays below S1.

As you can see I didn't draw any white circles anymore in the chart. I will draw them during my trading as I explained before.
An other insight that I had this weekend was I am going to draw more simple BigPicture with fewer TK and PF's so I it will easier for me to pick the Big Picture scenario I am going to trade.

Happy trading to you all today!

I traded last Monday. It was oke but I noticed that I found it still hard to trade in a neutral state.
So the upcoming days I will spend my time on Market Replay to train myself better in executing my tradingplan.
I am going to do this not on the DAX, but on other instruments to get to know them in preparation to TST.

I need to find out what inner conflicts in my tradingplan are, that makes me hesitating. Perhaps I even need to reduce more variables.

....... I will be back in a few days

Hi all,

Last week I have rewrite my tradingplan. I eliminated a number of choices and a conflict between my 2 setups.
My whole tradingplan is reduced to 7 pages and contains my Intraday-Trading routine, my Traders Oath, the dwawingtechnics I am going to use for my Big Picture, my 2 setups including conditions & SL-definitions & Take Profit guidelines, No-Trading-rules, My Bullet-system, Trade Management and Abort Rules, Daily Debriefing and Periodic Debriefing.
I also adjusted my tradinglog a little and I made it in sync with my tradingplan.

I platsifized the rule-sets of my 2 setups: the OWL and the Spike-trades plus my Trade Management and Abort Rules.
So while I am trading, I can use a whiteboard marker to deselect my rules one by one

So this is it. My own Casino-system is ready. My job now is to execute this plan as flawless as possible without hesitation. This is what I need to do and become very good in executing my plan.

My Big Picture, Gap Mapping and Pivot Zone Analysis for today.

My target for this week will be >+10R
Since I detected some tension in my body to start trading again, my proces focus for today will be:
Relax, just do what I need to do. That's it

Happy Trading to you all!

Although I identified this morning that there was tension in my body and I trades live.
I should have stopped or traded in SIM as an alternative, but I wanted to proof myself..........

This is the result:

I will trade in SIM tomorrow and perhaps also the upcoming days until I am in the right traders state again and used to my new checklists and logbook.

Enjoy your evening!

Hanneke

Hanneke, a trading plan of seven pages. HORRIBLE. Keep it simple, stupid, thats the KISS principle.

I have 2 simple trading systems for you.
1. An introduction to successful Trading using the 50 CCI. Written by BUZZ, years ago.
2. Perry's method. Perry did 2 webinar's on this forum. All his indicators and explinations can be found here on futures.io.

And last, but not least, look for another future than the DAX. Start with the Bund.

Hi Jaap8242,

Don't worry, the rules for my 2 setups fit on one A4 and a half page in big font size with my exit/trade management rules.
I would wish that my setups are the problem..... it is me...the trader.

I am testing with other futures at the moment, so I will look at the FGBL also. Thanks for your advise.

Good morning!

After more than a week of Market Replay to train myself in being good in executing my adjusted trading plan, I start trading live in SIM today. The results of the Mark Douglas exercise are very promising: avgR of 0,65R and a nSQN of 3,69 (this is an indication of the quality of my system; my target was 1,75 These results also contain some trading errors)

My Pivot Zone Analysis and BigPicture for this morning (incl. GAP Mapping):

Since I started with a trading error this morning, my proces focus will be:
Trade my OWL-setup with respect of the disqualifications-rules for this setup

My Target for this week wil be >+10R

Happy trading for you all and trade with Grace, Ease and Joy

Hanneke

I traded the morning session until 13.30: 3 trades and +2,1R

I started by making a trade error directly, but I corrected myself also directly
The DAX was quit long in a small sideway channel of just 35 point (I call that a SQC-pattern) so during my trade session I framed my trades to be prepared what I could expect. This is how that looked liked:

So after the price had chosen direction I traded the OWL-setup short on the 15 min chart (with much more slippage than usually).

In the charts below you will see the context of the trades (my BigPictures), my setups on the chart and for even more details my journal:

The Pivot Zone analysis that I made this morning helped me to be open to keep thinking in 2 directions.

Have a great day.
