Entry: Contract 1-2 at an engulfing pattern at the PP, 3-4 when making a new daily low

Exit: Initial SL hit

Analysis/Conclusion: Forgot to trail SL when contact 3-4 where trigged, also trade and orders
should be closed/deleted before FED

Hi Guys,

since the forum is down currently i will first write down what I noted
outside my TJ here on FIO.

Start trading at 9am German time, when London and Xetra start.
PinBar has to be confirmed by high volume.
Although I am considering to only trade explosions. My breakout spots seem to work
very good for that.

Mistakes done yesterday are.

1. Traded breakouts into Resistance... ( Did not stick to the trading plan, despite having it printed out and lying in front of me ) (2times)
2. traded vs Daily trend in a currently choppy market
3. Left my home and didn^t manage positions accordingly, despite a major news event

Overall a bad day, lucky that the FED was with me. Else the day would have been a major looser.

Analysis/Conclusion: Stick more aggresively to the trading plan

Regards

Hi Lutz,

Nice to see your trades.
I saw that you use Ninjatrader 8.
The indicators that you use for the pivots and the volume profile, were did you get them from?

I use currently the standard Pivot from NT8 but I miss the pivots of previous days on the chat.
For the volume profile I use the indicator that I downloaded from Future.io but I miss the volume profile of previous days.

Hanneke

Hi Dear,

actually i use from NT8 Pivots and Prior Day OHLC.

The DBValue Area Indicator is from the NT Support forums.

Hi Guys,

from analyzing my TJ I come to the conclusion that I should change my
trading style.

From now on I will go for the break of swing/high lows and Support and Resistance levels,
I will try to grab 3 ticks with a stop of 6 ticks.

Catching this big moves is exhausting....

Regards

Are you sure?
That approach were you risk 2x as much as you try to realize requires a very high hit rate if you want to make profit.
It is possible though. You have to be right for 66,66% to be BE.
Based on your analysis, what hitrate do you expect?
