Journal Trading Competition July 2017: Focus on the Top Tasks of Traders
This morning I took 7 trades and I made 2 traders mistakes that I keep repeating:
1) I noticed that I wasn't in the right traders state after trade 6, I identified this but didn't act in line with it. Result: I placed myself out of the game (4 bullets were gone) and I missed some very nice trades.
2) I interfered in a trade not according my rules and missed +3R trade (trade nr 6)
The focus for today (First location, then setup) worked for me today, but it can work much more better for me.
So I will focus on it tomorrow as well.
For more details regarding my trades: please see my log below.
Still a lot of room to grow for me, but I am proud on myself regarding respecting my bullet system.
With my background as a NLP Master I know that Mental Rehearsal works, but ....... it only works if you really do it.
A few months ago there was on the Dutch television a serie which contained a nice example of Mental Rehearsal and how you can benefit from it.
Although it is in Dutch, you will get the essence
I just started my day by over looking my debriefing and decided to do the mental rehearsal exercise regarding stepping away/state break when I notice that I am not in the right state of mind and that I will do what I say to myself that I will do.
So I looked up the CD of Van Tharp with the guided meditation of 20 min regarding eliminating traders mistakes that I keep repeating. This is a CD that comes with the home study course of Van Tharp: Peak Performance.
No trading for me today. A little setback: the fiver is back and I have been diagnosed with the first signs of Lyme.
Measurement have been taken and I have to see how my body will respond to the medicines.
Depending on how I feel today, I probably will do some market replay.
So with the learning from yesterday: No live trading for me.
For you all: Happy trading today with grace, ease and joy!
