Ok, I need to leave in a bit, hence won't be able to trade more in the afternoon. But normally after lunch sessions on a Friday are pretty slow.
Here are my trades:
Trade 1:
Entry: 2466.5
Stop: 2468.5
Went short after ES opened and was looking for a continuation lower and a break of yday's low. However, when I was +1pt, I saw NQ retracing back up and also nyse tick turning positive so I just closed out for a very small gain. It did go a bit lower afterwards but then back to my entry.
Trade 2:
Entry: 2465.5
Stop: 2467.25
When it came back down I reentered for a break of the low. Target of 1pt quickly reached and out. Then it went back to my initial entry and found support at 2463 and now back up to 2470ish.
and CL trades:
Trade 3:
Entry: 46.16
Stop: 46.08
I went long when I saw that 46.10 acted as support and anticipated a move towards the ONL. However, never up and I was quickly stopped out.
Trade 4:
Entry: 46.01
Stop: 45.93
I already had a limit order on when I was still in my previous trade. The limit was filled to the tick and it quickly retraced back up. However, I wasn't really patient enough to wait for my 20T target which was hit 6min later...so I only ended up with +9T...
Trade 5:
Entry: 45.93 & 45.99
Stop: 46.04
I had a sell stop limit order on below the LOD and thought we might head down to the overnight highs from July 13 (45.75ish). It quickly went down to +4T but then back up to even 46 where I scaled in a 2nd lot which was filled. I had my stop above the even number which almost got hit, lucky as it didnt trade above 46.03. I already took 1 lot off at my avg. entry as I was too slow and I thought we found support and I probably get stopped out. But then out of the sudden it went down 25T within a seconds and I guess lots of stops were triggered below the LOD. I had a profit target order at 45.82 which was filled. BUT again it did go lower and my 20T target at 45.76 was hit...
Well it was an okish day and a good one to end the week with. BUT still a bit annoyed at myself that I couldn't let my winning trade work out for me and wait for my initial target. Still a bit hard for me to just sit on my hands and let the ATM work for me!
Overall, I'm glad with the week even that I made a loss. I waited for the 100 trades target to assess the ATM which I did and it showed me that moving the stop to BE with 4-6T is just pointless as the chance of getting stopped at BE is almost 70-80%. So next week I just need to focus on good entries and then let the ATM do its thing!!
