Beth - did you say you trade 1 ct and target is 12 ticks?
if trading 2nd target, for 16 ticks, when do you pull trigger BE+1 after how many ticks?

Well..........-2 for the day.......very frustrating.........it was a bad start for CL as it was gyrating at the open of the indexes........a stop out and the stop and reverse stopped out.........but.......opened my targets and made it back (well except for 2 ticks)

The second to last trade was more of a Ross Hook deal......it hit my extended target of +16 but did not fill me....so I closed the trade at +8+8......of course then it made a new low.......

I'm just happy today did not end up being a big loser.......with such a terrible start.......I try to put both winners and losers behind me and just look for my next set up........I know my edge will work......I just have to let it.

Yes Emini Holy Grail, they are all 1-contract trades with PT/SL @12 and 25 respectively. Use the entry bar (yellow inside bar) to determine SL adjustment when the trade does not look good anymore.

Jeff is trading 2 contracts with PTs @8 and 16 (2nd contract has BE+1 @8 ticks I believe). Jeff, will you please confirm to Emini Holy Grail if I get your trade management strategies wrong. Thank you.

Beth

See post #16 regarding money management.......I am still looking at the stop moving after first target is hit.....instead of b/e +1......go -8.

This LIVE Real-time video of my trade taken @ 8:15pm(GMT+1), is normally posted to my Diary thread; but I want to share it with THREE SET UPS thread viewers. This is the second trade I made after the one in my post #317.

Is this a combination of INSIDE BAR and OUTSIDE BAR ?

A Long profitable trade to end the day. $200 before commission.

Note:

1. In real life, I seldom trade in the afternoon based on my former "losing" trading experience.

2. High/Low for the Yellow inside bars have been shifted to their subsequent bars because I was running the Inside Bar strategies.

3. Bracket orders for the Long trade back to normal in the afternoon though I had to cancel the Sell Stop order manually.

Beth

Hi Beth,

Can you help me understand the first trade you show (+120 long; -160 short) were you trading the outside bar (in blue) or the inside bar (in yellow) for these 2 trades? I don't doubt your results just trying to understand what the chart is showing me. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gulabv

I have 2 Inside Bar strategies (one for Long and one for Short) running. For the first Yellow bar upon its completion, there were 2 Stop orders waiting (Buy Stop @75.91 and Sell Stop @75.72). Buy Stop was first filled and stopped out @16 ticks. Then Sell Stop was filled (I let it run as a reversal trade) and 12 ticks PT reached.

Note: I missed cancelling the Sell Stop order (thought NJ would do that for me as it did yesterday).

Hope the above will clear the air a little. Sorry for the confusion caused.

Beth

Jeff,

Excellent recovery late in the day to only be down -2 !!

Did you use your discretion to try to go for 16 ticks on your later trades instead of your 8/16 PT (I guess you were trying to recover entirely)?
