I hit my max loss yesterday at $900 + commission made it over $1000. I did not know they counted commission. Anyway, I renewed my account today and now I am up $100. I have to stay with 1 or 2 lots and resist the temptation to hit the home run. I am my worst enemy.
I know how u feel. Thought I was gonna fail today. I had 600 cushion to play with. Did 2 contracts each trade and did well. Really different from sim isn't it? I can get 1k upto 2k a day doing sim. But this is different.
That is the best way to do it. If you can fight the demons the wants you to go big you can beat it.
My profit target is 3k. I made that in one day In a practice account. Today I am -500. For the same reasons I mentioned before. I am normally 70% win ratio with 1 or 2 contracts. If I can defeat this demon I can be successful.
Yes. What I find helpful, instead of stressing out on whether how much loss or how big gain I'll be making each day, I concentrate and focus on my statistics and try to make each trade better than before.
