Hi @dralion, glad to see you are doing good on your combine!

I have a question and it troubled me for a long time... I would have a big winning day followed by an even bigger losing day. And I see the similar problem on your daily P/L chart too. Could you, or anybody who's reading this post, share some experiences on how to adjust oneself in order to avoid losing big after winning big?

Many thanks in advance,

Sabrina

@sabrinavvv

I struggle with the same problem, the biggest challenge for us trying to pass the combine is the daily limit loss, and the solution is very simple ... Set a Rule and Keep it ...

But sometimes trying to 'fix' our problem we go for the last trade and we make the hole bigger ...

The next post so happens to be my biggest loss ...

So on Tuesday I tried to trade from the hotel room ...

I didn't complete my "Daily Ritual' and took a couple of quick trades before reviewing my "Trade Checklist"

The first Couple of Trades were green, so got too careless and the Market taught a big lesson ...

So I lost in one hour the work of several days ...

The rest of my day I felt horrible, not because of the lost but because I didn't kept to my rules ...

Max Daily Loss $600 .... and dug a hole of $1,700 .... Very dissapointing ...

.... Keep Calm and Trade On

Wednesday was on the road for the whole day, so I didn't trade ...

Today I did my complete Ritual and Checklist ... Made sure I was on a good mental State and started to Trade ...

I waited patiently for my First Trade and got a nice Trade in Gold ...

So Today we are closing green ...

I need to do some work related activities so decided not to trade for the rest of the Day ...

... Last Tuesday was a big mistake, but I am still positive on my Combine Effort ...

Keep Calm and Trade On

My Trading effort so far :

Half way mark .... again

Hey Dralion. I've been following your journal and just wanted to say keep up the good work. We all have bad days but the important is to have more green days and cut our losses quickly (I struggle with this one a lot). I passed the 50k combine a few days ago and now im on the FTP. Hopefully we will get funded around the same time. Keep your focus and you will get there.

@RichGirl ... Thank you for your kind words, I am totally committed to get Funded and make Trading an important part of my Financial Freedom.

I have been traveling for 3 weeks, and last Friday I got technical issues that created some chaos, I am still positive on my Combine, but last week was my first losing week

Today I have been working to get my system back up, but most likely will re-start trading next Monday ...

I will keep this journal until I get Funded that hopefully will be during the first week of April ... Will keep you posted ...

GOOD LUCK with your FTP process...

Let's stay connected to share our Success ...

@sabrinavvv thanks for asking ... I had major issues with my laptop ... and I am almost ready ... Honestly very happy with the upgrades and fixes made to my laptop ...

I live in La Paz, Baja Calfornia Sur in Mexico, there I have a nice setup with a Tower PC and 4 monitors that work nicely together. When I traveled it is usually for 3 or 4 days, but I came to close a Real Estate Sale that got very complicated and I have been away from home for 25 days and will not be back until the coming Thursday afternoon ...

So as you can imagine without my main tradestation, traveling and issues with my laptop has been very hard to trade.

Tomorrow Sunday I will be traveling to Texas and back home Thursday for a bunch of work related activities ...

So honestly I will be at my normal trading setup until next Monday (March 27th) ...

I will keep my Journal until I get funded, and will be a better read soon ...

Gracias @sabrinavvv ... I will keep on Journaling for some time

Just a little consideration of what happens to me when i have a winning streak or better when i have a big winning day.
I tend to raise my daily goal according to that new level and this result on "neck or nothing" trades due to overconfidence. What i do, now that i know this bad habit, i try hard to reset it and start the new day with the montly goal in my head... divide it for 22 trading days.. finally doing the math again and doing a little remember of what are my goals, and suddently i trade more disciplined again... actually i do it even before doing pre market analysis.

@aquarian1 Yes ... I have done it in the past, but since my style is Scalping it is not the best Idea ...

Thanks for the advice ... Happy because my System is running stable in my Laptop....
