...got to -9pts now back to -12 screwing about down here getting spoofed out. This market today has been appalling for me, i cant read it, got too jumbled from the bad start, which i was wholly to blame for.

This is loss is at lower end of my targets so am happy keeping it as it is, and start afresh tmrw.

Poor day though.

Great thread @DaxyMcDaxFace! Just wanted to reiterate what you and @FGBLTrader were saying the other day about being overly DOM focused. This had been exactly my problem for a long time and I was doing it in one of the most algo infested cesspits of a market there is, the euro stoxx. Ive only recently increased my time frame, taken a leaf out of Inletcap's book with the ACD methodology mixed with pivots and Vwap bands and I'm seeing this so much clearer on the intraday big picture. I'm trading both FESX and FGBL now.
I'll be following your thread with interest hoping to pick up a few things here and there.

Btw with your name and @FGBLTrader are you two living up to your name sake and dipping your toes in the Eurex markets?!
Would love to find anyone out there in the forum trading a similar methodology.

Cheers

Z

Poor day though.

Ended -14pts. First down day since journal began. My targets are 10-20pts so its manageable, just a bit annoyed.

I sold 2 pts off the high and 1.5pts off afternoon lows, both for swing trades (+5pts) and ended up quite a bit down.

Thats not making excuses up, its a great example that you can be right and still not make money. More composure needed, dont go full size straight away, be confident in levels, and possibly widen hard stops (but only if really like the level)....still cannot go without at moment.

Scalping was poor also.

I am shattered.

Thks for dropping by @Zefi, and thks for the compliment.

And yes, welcome to the anti DOM club, its a big one, and exponentially expanding. I dont pity you trading FESX, i cld prob only trade it on HTFs. How does bund prices play out with respect to VWAP et al? Feel free to post a chart if it helps.

Yes Inlets tool kit is a very good one, doesnt suit all but i certainly like most elements, v kind of him to share. Slowly beginning to get used to it.

I used to trade FDAX but think i am done with it for now, really dislike the PA, but did like the volatility though. In fact the 1 min PA looked much better esp when trending than any other TF, but wld find myself going nuts staring so intently at the screen. @FGBLTrader does trade FGBL, he has a journal (and skype room also i think).

Feel free to drop by here again, and gd luck with the new style of trading. Wld be interested in hearing your progress at some stage.

rgds.

Morning all,

Heres some levels:

I have hidden my PnL in pts from the DOM - i was looking at it too much and not just yest. I just need to forget, and trade my setups. What comes, comes. So lets see how many times I peek at it.

I made cpl of pts on a 1 lot scalp selling the highs (watched Time/Sales and big vol came in) & buying just above eth vwap. Am out of office til open now.

Have a good day trading everyone.

My day pvts were wrong S1/S2 2199/2194 & R1/R2 2209/2214.

Was looking for price to push bit lower to yest and eth lows & S1....but keeping eyes out for long opp, nothing obvious came up on internals...and being bit careful after yest hastiness.

....finally some tick div, and on nice retail bus puke (i think).

Stop just below todays lows.

Still prefer if got to 98-99 level but not too bad rr....targets are todays rth hi 06, & eth high 08-09.

Add: just added at 02 also, tick staying above 0.
