Being 18 is ugly?

Makes me look ugly when I still struggle at the age of 41 after trying for 3 years.

I know your story and how hard you worked in the last few years to reach this point. Very impressed, not just with your results, but also your emotional maturity and willingness to help retail trading community.

The room has exceeded my expectations and is really appreciated, I can't think of anything I would have you change.

The Good
1. I enjoy the positive atmosphere and camaraderie of the room.
2. You are very disciplined and consistent with your beliefs in trading the market, which is a great trait for you as a trader and is good for newbies/struggling traders to witness.
3. I laugh often whether I type 'lol' or not
4. You are really good at attempting to answer all questions.

The Bad
1. If the room didn't exist

Your dedication to helping others is admirable and greatly appreciated.

Thanks Alex!

GOOD

Very good environment
I feel like i'm at the office "trading with the boyz" (even though i can only hear one)
Very knowledgeable, patient, calm
I am actually learning something new everyday

BAD

Can't slap me when i make a bad trade
Can't stop me of getting out early from good trades

UGLY

That voice !!
(J.K. its like an angel)

All jokes aside, I tried 2 rooms recently (free trials) and I didn't last 20 minutes.... Mindless chatter and the moderators tried too hard. RS68 seems to have a Knack for teaching. Good Job !!!

Have popped in a few times this week and really enjoyed it. Some how seem to be opposite you too often haha but still made money early in the week. Missed yesterday as I was travelling

Having no one in my circle of friends or family that trade or even know what a future is, its great to have a chat about it with a knowledgeable community.

I would second another chart as well, apart from that all good

OK, here's my two cents.

First, you are doing a good job.

It is interesting to know such details as your P/L chart -- not the numbers, because who cares? -- but the point about the variations: chop, then a big move, chop, etc. In other words, it's not a straight line of super trading results, but the trend is up. Makes it clear that you can't be perfect all the time. In other words, more from the life of a trader.

Someone suggested playing music. My vote: hell no. () I am playing my own music. I don't want someone else's. This would be a serious turn-off.

Several people have suggested showing more charts. I do agree. Just looking (mainly) at that one 2-minute chart does not always make the reasons for things understandable. In particular, context is largely left to imagination. You do show other charts, but fleetingly.

Also, do you not look at ETH very much? I know that you have a 30-minute ETH chart that you do show, and that you do use for larger context, but, again, just glimpses and then gone. This applies mostly to that half-hour or so of pre-open ETH time between when you open the room and when the ES opens, which I think is when it's most important, and all you show is an RTH chart that is doing nothing.

Also, do you never put on a trade pre-open? Just curious about that.

Your charts are up to you, of course, and you should stick to what you are actually using and what you think makes your point better. But I have wondered what else you do look at, and what weight you give them.

Overall, it's a fine effort. The explanations are always quite clear and what you are doing makes sense.

Bob.

Very well said Narcissus.

Kudos to you Alex, you are doing it really great!
You are showing impressive calmnes, confidence and realtime analysis, and have nice voice to listen to.

More charts, and everything else is a big thumbs up!

Read through the entire journal over the last couple of days, and I must say bravo! Great read, you seem like an awesome guy, and very talented to boot.

I see you have backed off on posting your daily recap since you started the room(congrats by the way), but was wondering if you were still considering posting that in your journal at some point? I look forward to checking out the room, but I trade the Pound and stay quite focused during those critical hours. I am by no means asking you to do that just for myself, so not sure if there were others interested in it outside of the room or not. But I loved the way you came about your thesis, and then explained how you traded around opportunities the market presented.

I do have a couple specific questions for ya:

How much do market internals play a role in how you enter or exit a trade? I've seen that once you have your thesis you may start scaling into a position as it moves towards your AoI, but the way you scale in seems pretty random. When price is moving against you, do you have a specific trigger for adding onto the trade? Do you do the same thing for exits?

Thanks! Keep up the awesome work!

Rule number one in the markets is to never lose money. Well since that isn't realistic, I say if you're going to lose some money anyway then lose small, but when you win, give it all you've got and win big!

Wait WHAT???Your 18? No way, that's hella impressive if so.

Good: To be honest, I don't really look at your charts since I only have so much space for monitors and I don't understand what I am looking at. However I do listen to your analysis while monitoring my own charts, and so far how you step in with calmness and confidence is admirable. When my own analysis is saying bullish like today's open and albeit I FEEL scared as hell, when you gave your analysis of why you want to go long and actually put money where your mouth is, it helps me feel more confident in my own analysis and I do the same. Although instead of going long the ES, I went long YM and it was the weakest index.....cries

So in essence I am not shadowtrading. But I do enjoy confirmation. When my own analysis lines up with another experienced trader, I feel more secure with my position, albeit I do tend to be a pussy at times and close my position too fast. This is something I still need to work on.
I feel like being in chat with you, is another tool to my analysis. It's like having double confirmation on 2 index futures instead of just one, you know?

One thing I'd like to ask you about is how do you spot the retail activity? So far for the past few days whenever I am looking at my own charts, and something seems fishy like the sharks are trying to pull in suckers, you are saying its all retail activity. By taking advantage of that information, when I see a setup I feel more secure in trading it and it tends to go for a huge move.

I think you do a great job replying to chat while also being in the trade. That is something I would not be able to do.

There isn't really any cons other than I wish we went all session instead of just a few hours.

I feel like maybe one thing that could be improved on is we start getting a track record for those in chat who make calls and post in chat about their trades. Once we get a data sample of maybe a month or longer, we let maybe the top 3-4 guys who have those track records start joining on the mic and giving their analysis of the tape/charts/dom and that way it would be almost quadruple confirmation if everything aligns.
