I have been wanting to make a change in the retail trading industry for a while now. I feel that this industry is a dark place and very few people have made changes in it for the better. One of those people being @Big Mike himself. He wanted to bring good into the industry, so he did. I want to do the same! I believe that everyone deserves to be given a fair chance in trading. A fair chance without breaking their bank account.
So, here I stand. I have talked to @Big Mike about this, and he has given me the go-ahead to launch.
You can look on my site for more information about the room, but this is what I will say in this post:
-The room is entirely free; there is not a single thing I sell or make money from
-The cost of the website, hosting, and the webinar is ALL covered by my own money.
-I strive to help people to the best of my abilities
-If you do not like me, my thoughts, how I trade, or what I teach, you are free to state your feelings/thoughts here on FIO.
-Not only that, there is absolutely NO pressure for you to attend.
-This room is meant for aspiring traders. I have been on the same road as you, and I wish I hadn't lost so much money on things that didn't help.
-The trade room is 8:00 CST- 10:30 CST
-I start the room today, 10/10/2016
-The room will have a maximum attendance of 100 people. First come, first serve. The webinar cost will grow substantially if I upgrade to a larger webinar. I will figure out the logistics of that in the future.

That was my first trading room experience. It was like having co-workers I always appreciate different perspectives of the market. Good trade management today rocksolid68 and thank you for the effort to help others!
Really commendable for taking this step to helping others. I will definitely be following it, if I have time! My focus is on CL only but I'm always looking to learn something new.
Alex, I want to congratulate you for a solid beginning to your new venture. Good on yoyu for taking this on, and perhaps you can restore some luster to the notion of a trading room. They've suffered badly since the early days of the Internet bubble burst, and have become known as the lair of shysters.
It's nice to see an honorable and enthusiastic person stepping into the breach. You'll definitely find me hanging with you for a while in the morning, as I'm still not the ES trader I'd like to be. That's mostly because of early exits, so it'll be fun to watch someone hang onto a trade for a while.
FYI, after I messaged you this morning in the room, I couldn't respond in the chat box that appeared on the left of the screen. I could see the comments of others there, though. Are there two chat boxes, or was I just doing it wrong?
In any case, good on you and I wish you the best of luck with the room.
Just a note that, as most of you know, FIO does not allow vendor self-promotion. Alex contacted me ahead of time and I explained the rules.
Since Alex told me that everything was free, and that he has no plans to ever charge any money for a product/service etc, then I told him it was within our rules for him to "promote" his product on FIO. The key part here being that it is entirely free, and will remain entirely free.
If at any point in the future there is something for sale, we will have a problem with the rules being violated. When this has happened in the past, the user has been banned.
I am just saying all this so everyone is clear. Also, I want to clarify that me giving the "go ahead" for Alex's room is in no way an endorsement from me about his trading.

As to all reading this, do NOT be afraid to PM Mike or anyone else about questions or concerns! I am trying to be as transparent and honest as possible, but even then, you may not be comfortable speaking to me about something. In this case, go to someone else on the forum to speak to about the issue at hand!
I could not have done ANYTHING without Mike and his wonderful forum. So if you want to thank anyone, it should be our outstanding community as well as Mike himself.
