Hey everyone!

A lot of you already know me, as I frequently post around the forum, but for those of you that don't, here is a little bit about me!

-My name is Alex
-I trade the ES ( Emini S&P 500 Index futures for those Forex traders that don't know )
-I trade my own money
-I am fairly young
-In my journey to consistent profitability, I have traded penny stocks, small-cap stocks, ETF's, options, Forex, and futures.
-I found profitability and consistency in futures
-I blew an account or two as well as many Topstep Trader Combines
-I eventually passed and got funded with TST
-I used the funded account to add more capital in my own account
-Once I had built enough capital in my personal account, I closed my TST account and traded my own
-I trade a methodology that can be applied to ANY instrument.

That is my brief story! I am sure you will all get to know me throughout the course of this journal!

"Why am I making this journal?"

A few reasons. One of which being that a journal is what got me to where I am now, and keeping a journal will help me grow as a person as well as a trader! Hopefully others will be able to get something of value from this.

"TELL ME HOW YOU GOT PROFITABLE SO I CAN TOO!"

I found the holy grail! That is the truth. What will shock most is that the holy grail is in your head. The thing that separates me from you is our psychology. More on this later!

"What do you use to trade?"

I use a plethora of charts to determine the context of the market. There are quite a few threads on context in the elite section. I wish I could cross-post for you all, but unfortunately I can not. I will post more on context and how I trade later!

I would also like to give some shout-outs to those that have been instrumental to my profitability: @Big Mike, @tigertrader, @Inletcap, @choke35, and @bobwest. Also, a special thanks to @michaelleemoore and our beloved friend @Okina for opening my eyes to something new and for hosting the wonderful Scalper's Journey thread. There are many others that I have not listed here, for the list could go on and on.

We have an amazing community here; the best there is. I love it!

This is all I got for you all at this moment!

I will keep this journal updated! I hope that I am able to help you in your journey to financial independence!

Good luck and good trading to all!

Well, I wondered when you would do your own journal.

Welcome aboard! I'll be following along, of course.

Good luck and good trading, and good journaling too.

Bob.

Really looking forward to checking out your journal, not so much for your trading style but for how you deal with what's in your head.
Cheers!

Hey everyone! I just bought a laptop so I can keep this journal updated more frequently!

Here is my tentative plan on what I will post here daily:

-Post a morning analysis
-My morning trade scenarios and why
-Post my thoughts about my trading after the day is over

Here is what I think I will do here as well:

-Post things that I think others may find valuable (psychology, money management, and really anything!)
-Explain my thoughts on how to trade profitably, and maybe some of my thoughts on life as a whole.
-Reply to questions with as much intuition as one human can provide

I am currently thinking that I will keep my trades and such in the Elite Spoo thread just to keep this journal less cluttered. If I think anything of value that I posted in the other thread, I will cross-post it here. (I think I am allowed to do this if it is my own content)

I will start the journal by posting my charts and describing what I look for in them (This will be vague because what I see in the charts changes day-to-day.)

After that, I shall start with the journal aspect.

At any point in time, feel free to ask questions or provide criticism!

This is a good plan. Really, any plan would be a good one when you start out, and then you probably will shake it down to what you like to post as you go on.

Since you are interested in showing people how you trade, and helping them with their trading through that, perhaps showing the day's trades, after the fact in a daily wrap-up chart, would be a valuable addition, because it would show how it turned out, and would be some concrete content for people to think about.

But I'm sure you will find what you want to post quickly enough.

Again, best of luck with all this. It's a good idea.

Bob.
