Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

LOL!! That is so funny. Only in the Day Trading World is stating someone has shown no proof of their claims deemed nasty. Give me a break. Next time you hire a roofer don't ask for any evidence what so ever that he is licensed or ever installed a roof, as that would just be rude and nasty.

Or if a roofer offers you his services for free, you can decide not to take him up on his offer and find one that satisfies your needs.

I'll make you an offer here jdox.

We can arrange to voice Skype and I'll share my screen, (proxied IP etc. of course). I think I have a pretty good handle on the timeline of events and I'm willing to run through it with you.

You can then report back if you still feel the same?

I voted to unban him for my reasons stated, as i felt very iffy abouting voting only because after the fact it should still be only mikes say and judgement, which i trust.
Uneasy because i only known him recently, but still trusted my gut with what i perceived as inaccurate reasons.
With that said and even bening 33 years old my judgement on topics like this aren't the best i think. Meaning im a worker at best and a thinker at half.

I made my stand and im ok with that but i trust alot in the judgement of some of the "vets" also, they have been around this type of stuff probably more then alot of us and for that i accept and respect and take their views into consideration even if it goes against mine.
Some people it seemed who are quick to jump the gun and i got that just from alot of the responces here, "childish behaviour"... from both sides.

So lets move on and let this be a good leason to anyone here that would like to try this in the future, you now know what is the proper way to go about something like this.
Of course i wish Alex the best and from what i heard in his voice this fourm was important to him as it is for everyone else and i hope he keeps doing what he set out to do, which is*EDITED, continue* the start of the change of this industry into what we all want it to be.

Thanks big mike for running a kick ass fourm. Looks like a tough gig i wouldnt want to do lol.

Hi Rory. I appreciate the offer but I honestly don't think that’s going to get us anywhere because from what I can tell, I don't disagree with you on the timeline. To the best of my knowledge, this is what happened (and please correct me if I'm wrong)

-Alex wanted to open a trading room where traders could come together and watch a profitable trader make live trades and explain his rational for doing so without trying to sell any gimmicks/indicators etc.

-At first, he thought about charging a small fee and made some comments indicating that on another blog.

-After talking to Big Mike, he decided against charging anyone and determined that he would pay for the costs of the trading room out of his own pocket.

-He made a post on this thread explaining what he was offering and posted a link to his website that went into more detail about what he was doing and why.

So from everything I've seen, he never went back on his promise not to charge anyone and to offer a chat room that was free to everyone. Everything out there that mentioned a charge was BEFORE he made the commitment to offer it for free. Again, please tell me if I am mistaken about any of this.

I don't know Alex nor have I ever interacted with him. I've read his posts on this forum and I drop into his trading room when I am able and enjoy listening to his analysis and trade ideas. From everything I can tell, he seems to be making a genuine effort to help other people and that's why I've stuck up for him. If anything, it would be more advantageous for you to Skype with him so that he is able to respond to the accusations. I'm not saying that you're evidence is wrong, just that I can't answer for him since I don't know all the details.

I am afraid that is quite incomplete and why I believed you might benefit from a full run through. Its a pity you feel that way but I understand why.

I´m not a "witchfinder general" type but I have an excellent memory and so I´m not too shabby at trading or anything really. At 16-18 I ran a very profitable specialist IT company. I see the brains in the kid. I see the worries of being able to think rings around normal minds also as he matures.

I run a volunteer homeless charity here among other projects besides trading. I would love to find its all a big misunderstanding but you know what? I have a pregnant and hepatitis infected 16 year old girl to home today. Not a self-inflicted situation and enough time has been spent now.

Sorry that you passed a chance to clear it up somewhat and help him recover (or not) some reputation if it matters this much to you, but I guess you have your reasons.

I´m done then, best of luck Alex.

Hire that free roofer and see what happens. NOTHING IS FREE!!!! THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH!!! Only scammers working their magic to sucker you in for the kill.

According to the timeline, as I understand it, his actions have not violated the rules of the form. His posts mentioning the vendor he later worked for, were months before he ever worked for them.

I think he broke several of the terms of this forum. Note the copied terms below the infractions below.

He admitted he recently turned 18 but was posting as a member prior to his 18th birthday:
(h) Membership is available only to those eighteen (18) years of age and older.

He admitted he was working for GTR but did not disclose it:
If you are affiliated with a vendor or are selling anything then you must notify us before making any post so that your account is clearly flagged as a vendor.

He allegedly was posting under a user account that belonged to his dad:
You will not impersonate another person or entity or disguise the origin of your posting
(f) You shall create and maintain only one account on the Website, and that too for exclusive personal use;
The members shall be solely responsible and liable for: (c) using the account of any other member, at any time; (@Big Mike I'm assuming there should be a "not" prefacing term c)

Sorry I missed all this was away on a trip but after reading many of the threads and the evidence by Rory I agree with Mikes ban I guess lesson learned for the future no more members promoting anything unless as vendor status
