We came VERY close to getting stopped out last night!

Monthly Pivot still proving as a good shield for my stop loss order

I want to add right now very badly but I do not want increased risk with the whole DB crisis happening.

I also should mention that I will NOT be holding over the weekend. I will be looking to flatten out at some point today.

I do not have any thoughts on the ES today. I think it will be a crapshoot.

I will post once I feel comfortable picking a side!

Total PnL:

Contract #1: +$1220
Contract #2: +$900
Contract #3: +$580

Total: +$2700

WOW! I am pretty dang pumped about this. OTF trading is really fun! Haha!

I think aiming for much larger returns is WAY less stressful than scalping and such. I barely paid attention to the trade and look at the results!

I also want to point out that the same day I put on the gold trade, I had taken a $210 loss right before.

Asymmetrical returns my friends... a $210 loss for a $2700 win? Any day of the week I will take that trade!

Taking a shot in the dark with a long position. I honestly have no read right now, but I want some skin in the game. It heightens my senses

EDIT: Taking shots in every direction

Hey all, I just wanted to say something that I think is VERY important. So here goes:

I have had an absolutely phenomenal trading week thanks to a very well played GC trade and some nice ES returns as well. Over all, I think I netted almost $3k this week.

What I want to say is that this is very abnormal! I do NOT want you all to think I make TONS of money or anything!

I have weeks like this that happen to go very well once every couple of months or so. I do not make this much every week. Heck, some weeks I will end up down!

I thought I should post this since it may seem that I am a magnificent trader. I am not. I have spent a long time practicing, learning, and working hard to get where I am today. I still have a lot to learn! I still have yet to make the money that @Inletcap and @choke35 make (just to name a few here...)

It is all about consistency and confidence.

Thanks for reading this. I am just like you (for some of you, I am just like you except with a little more patience and confidence )

Congrats on a good week! Something is in the water for our style of trading as I'm hearing of a lot of best ever weeks and months. I've had a marked increase lately that quite frankly has left my jaw on the floor in amazement and scares me at the same time (i.e. get too dialed in then conditions change). Let's all just keep doing what we do, keep our eyes open to change and manage our positions as best we can and maybe this run will keep going for a long time. Volatility is our friend for sure!! Thank you for the humble post- these are always my favorite when a dose of success is complimented by a dose of reality.

There is nothing better than a long term trade that works out. I love it when I can nail a daily support level on the NQ and hold the trade for a week or two. The conditions aren't favoring this style right now, but when they are WOW.

I really suggest that people learn to swing trade. It does magic for for your overall P&L.

I was unaware of such things!

Thank you for the reply! I have not seen you around before! I would love to see more of you!

I try to keep quiet unless I feel I have something that really needs said.

Good work on your journal and trading.

Your GC trade inspired me to take a look at it's movement again. It's still pretty squirrely most of the time, but I think I found something that is exploitable pre-open about 3 days a week. I don't have live comex data, so still studying it for now.

Cheers
