I will explain what i see, and what i trade off start next month. I'm too busy at the moment to also focus on attaching voice on the videos too.

bear in my mind, i'm no super-skilled 20-year in the bank trader, as Peter . But i've totally turned my trading around when i started to trade through the DOM. Prior to starting the DOM, there's market context, which is equally very important to understand.

Basically we wan't to look at charts because it's easy and convenient. but out of 10 people, how many are actually making a living solely trading off charts ?!?. I don't know it, but i suspect we must learn to read the inside market first before learning to look at a chart.

Just my 2 cents!...

Stay safe tomorrow - i will stay FAR AWAY and drink some beers .

Hi chris - I'm not disputing any of that and I concur with it, I was just wondering what Pete meant in the post I quoted last. I think I got confused because he seemed to differentiate between watching trades real time (which is what I do on the DOM) and something else, which I did not quite get.

Anyway, it's pretty late in Cambodia right now so I'll wait until tomorrow to see if he picks this up!

This time it's gone over my head.

Are you thinking in terms of Auction Vista maybe?!

I mean, when you say 'but only if you watch them in real time', I assumed that's pretty much what I always do

Not really - I guess what I'm referring to is just the way price ticks up and down on the DOM.

For example - it ticks down, trades (or stays there) for 30 seconds. Then it ticks up and stays there for less than a second before dropping back down.

That's the sort of thing I mean. It's not the numbers, it's not the depth, it's just the way it moves.

If you have any questions about the products or services provided, please send me a Private Message or use the futures.io " Ask Me Anything" thread

yupp makes sense....i have T&S running on same screen below DOM. When they run Limits/Icebergs...or just the way price moves.....i have the T&S running below. Not that I look at it deeply as its too many numbers. But just the patterns it makes at crucial points while looking at DOM & just having this below at times is a tell for me.

Thanks Matthew..
Yes I purchased the programme for beginners on no BS trading & on recommendation will purchase it after having studied through the Intermediate course..The Ninjatrader Dom is not really beneficial as you say..Is there any correlation between the futures contracts trading (Dax or otherwise) on the DOM & say a Dax CFD or spreadbet ? I'm assuming they're ticking over with the same amounts on the futures platform unless I have it incorrect..

I trade Ger30 but use the Dax future price movements, likewise I do the same with FX - FX Futures, ES - SP500, CL - USOUSD, and Gold - XAUUSD. Depending on your broker, but generally they will say somewhere on their website where they get their prices from, otherwise just enquire.

Don't let money control you, control money!
