Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Took a small profit, $200, in the morning and stopped for the day. Therefore I missed all the fun, but staying out was deliberate at that point.

I'll be taking the next couple of days off to review strategy, etc.

Also, it's f---ing raining here in Florida. It looks like this big-ass storm may head up your way next few days, too. It's killing them north of here. I'm just south of Tampa (50 miles), and all the fun looks like it will be a hundred or a hundred and fifty miles or so north of me. But Mother Nature is a mother, any time she gets it in her mind to be.

Now, just big rain here, probably will avoid the bad flooding.... But your mind turns naturally to other things than trading.

Bob.

They are calling for a direct hit here but winds will be on Northeast side(offshore) so not too bad- mainly 2 days of much needed rain. My water bill last month was 480- August will be worse- Take the rain however we can get it!!!

No, I stopped trading after the second trade.

I was anticipating an reversal, or atleast a pullback to VWAP, with both trades.
I'm not behind my trading pc but from what I see I price reversed right after I got stopped out on trade #2 .

Price followed nearly the same pattern as yesterday.

I saw it and appreciate the nomination!
Not sure if I want to participate though, since I'm not sure if I can trade on a consistent daily basis in September.

I hope you will participate? Really looking forward to your journal.

I can remove my nomination if you would prefer to not be in it! Just say the word!

As far as I go, I am not a NinjaTrader user anymore (Plus I already own the $1000 license)

But thank you anyways

No need to remove the nomination. The rule is that I have to post a link to my journal myself

I also have the lifetime license already, so it wouldn't be for the price

@rocksolid68, I was just getting ready to send you a PM on this.

Although your heart was in the right place, it may have been a mistake.

For one thing, the rules do say that only the thread starter can enter a link for the contest.

For another thing, a couple of years ago, someone posted a question in the contest thread, and I answered it, in the thread. To my shock, I found that Mike's software had entered me as a contest participant, which I did not want. It turned out that I had to ask Mike to ignore any votes for me, which meant that a lot of people's votes got wasted and someone else didn't get them. It was a big fuck-up for nothing.

So I think the best thing is to just delete that entry so there's no issue with it.

I totally agree that @GruttePier is one of the outstanding journalers here, of course, and you were trying to do a good thing. But probably best to undo it.

Bob.
