Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Oil is at cross roads, don't know which way it will go 43 is acting as a strong support since last TEN days. Yesterday my plan was to short at 44.10.

Self Note: Don't even think about shorting indices because of strong internals.

My laptop is still broke, setup a new desktop but not finished yet, I am not sure to upgrade to Windows 10 or be with Windows 7...maybe I will upgrade. Last week was a green. This week probably no trading due to work commitments.

Windows 10, in my experience, is not noticeably better or worse than 7 (there are slight differences, easy to get used to), but, realistically, it's what Microsoft is going to be improving and supporting going forward. The time will come when 7 is like XP -- nice at the time, but basically just history now.

By this time, the usual MS initial bugs seem to be out of it. So, for whatever it's worth, I think the upgrade is what makes sense.

(Don't blame me if you don't like it, this is just my opinion.... )

Bob.

Thanks Bob, it seems Windows 10 is more secure and utilizes cores more effectively so I upgraded it (It's a free upgrade till end of July).

I am bit rusty so I am not seeing any clear direction

I want to short oil near 49 area with room to add more and buy oil near 47 area with tight stop.

No trades yet this week as I am still dealing with work and other stuff...I want to say short oil using QM but I am so sure they are going to touch 50 mark to take out all the stops above there...Ideally my short should be below 47 but 200 ticks advantage but at the same time UP trend is too strong and report is due tomorrow so sitting on hands will be best bet I guess.

Surprisingly few more positive trades on last trading day of the month.

Hindsight I missed that good short on YM.
