Word of advice, ThinkOrSwim is garbage. Trading TOS sim vs live trading is night and day. It's hands down the worst sim environment I've ever seen.

Get NinjaTrader. You can download it for free, and sign up for a free data (trial). It's real time data, accounts for bid and ask, order queue, entry delays, partial fills, slippage, etc. The best sim I've ever seen.

And how is it going? I'm trading /ES as well. Only 1 contract. My goal is to someday trade 100 lots.

true. Ninja trader is great for sim and Live trading and they have great email service and forums beside this one
ATM template does all work for exits

I would agree with Chris on this, Ninja Trader is very good and it is free whilst you are in SIM. If you use ninja Trader, there is a very good third party site for downloading replay data. it can be a bit 'clunky' to do in Ninja, but this website makes it really easy Ninjatrader Market Replay - Home

Once you are ready to trade live, as you are also in the UK (and in Manchester - the best part!) I would recommend Kinetick for data (I pay $56 per month for the CME Globex Level 1 and Kinetick basic service). I use Interactive Brokers for brokerage with commission at $4.04 per round turn - they have offices in London and you are protected under UK legislation.

I use CQG data that provides real time and works great. It also has historical for 18months

Couldn't login yesterday to ThinkorSwim, issue my side.

Today's Notes:

08:46 Update Lines, Market Gap Open Down. Nothing to hold back gravity.
08:49 Going Short @ 2,056.50. Before I could update my bracket, default target hit for +1 Points in 6 seconds. Bonus I guess.
My rules state only 1 trade a day however this was an accident. P/L: +1

08:50 Going Short @ 2052.75, Stop above SR, Target Below next SR
10:42 Closed @ 2,046.50 - P/L: +6.25

Day Total: +7.25
July Total: 18.25

Going to start taking screenshots with bracket order illustrated as more interesting.

08:39 Gap up, Greece news.

08:52 Buy @ 2,088 (See Image for Target/Stop)
08:53 Moved Stop lower a little
11:10 Not much going on, tight sideways range. Let it ride.
14:25 Target Hit @ 2,093

08:46 Gap up Opening ~+10
08:58 Gravity taking effect, feel like there will be a little downside. Going short @ 2,113 (Sure I put a limit of 2,113.50)
See Chart for Target/Stop
09:10-15 Annoying could have taken a cheeky +2.5 Points @ 2,110
11:27 Looks like it's been oscillating upwards. STOP probably get hit soon.
13:44 Stop Hit @ 2,116.75

Today: - 3.75
July: 24.75

Feel like perhaps I got too greedy with my target, could have had 2.5 which would have been inline with my original strategy however the previous week of bigger movements had given me a taste for greater swings.

08:58 Small downward trend from open.
Short @ 2,115.50
9:15 Annoying just missed out on target by 0.5 Pts, 2112.25. Going to adjust S/R lines from most recent data. Is my target like yesterday too greedy?
14:45 Stopped out @ 2,119.50

P/L: -4
July: 20.75

Feels like deja-vu, going to tighten up next trade if not volatile.
