this is poss long setup - i didnt take but it was tempting, just looks bit congested to me, h&s on the m5 etc.....

not a lot going on!

longs failed to break res (prev support) 87s, no interest buying up there & price hugged the ascending tl, & a breakout to the low which happened quick (looked like it followed the t-note, though i dont look at this mkt for confluence).....

looking for long 50s area, no other areas of interest. am really struggling with reading the PA this afternoon.

No more trades since posting trade log earlier:

Swing trade 1 -8 ticks
Swing trade 2 +42 ticks

Total for day +34 ticks inc comms.

Thoughts:
positive - gd second trade to run to max, with logical target.
negative - too risky with the target? under trading after decent winner?

Lets see if i can break the 5 day run of 1st trade losers tmrw.

Gd morning all,

With consolidation day yest dont see any great levels of interest:

Short: 159.00-03; 158.95; small 158.80 (alr traded)
Long: 158.50-56s; 158.30-35s;

Lets see if anything develops this morning, will post charts later.

Can i break losing first trade of day trend?

Bought 73s (av price) - as per shaded area on chart expecting some demand, stopped 67s (avg) -12 ticks6 ha, trend continues.

Volume is quite thin, esp on the bids.

looks like algos scalping against each other - can go bid/offer cpl of prices up/down with sod all vol trading.

everyone still in bed? or all the other algos solar powered?

Long 67s stopped @ 64s.....poor entry ....wanting for it to break 74s...cld have sold 73/74s & paid 67s 5 times now & wld have improved my posn to long 40s ha.

only so many times can go long this, but the 5min does look nice, ascending triangle for a b/o higher. though on 1min looks heavy. confusing.

down 14 ticks for the day, made a few back scalping 1 lots.

breakout of the triangle lower & retest @ 70s on the 5min which was support for about half an hour. not smthg i wld take.

when i say support it needs to be put into context, as hardly anything is trading, so all these levels need to be taken with a pinch of salt imo for now.

(re my charts issue - market delta is up & running but quite liking using these broker charts on the lower timeframes).

just some thoughts to remind myself of the overall picture for rest of today:

~ bull flag/pennant on hourly/daily range 46-96 ish. Breaks & holds below 46s (on hourly) to turn bearish (intra day only though).

~ if sticks in yest range then depending on PA: range trade the extremes; look for trend continuations (to high) and/or breakout (to the low) setups.

No idea where price will go, am just staying flexible, with options either way. Lets see what happens.

Been out of office for hour & half so missed this little rally, some nice little pullbacks to get on board by the looks of it.

Looking to go long on pullback into late 70s.....

Still have level @ 00-02s for short but will see how PA turns out from here.
