John's walk refers to both the movie INK and so my journey in trading the markets. All comments are highly welcome and hopefully i will be able to add some value to this community by sharing my charts, positions and thoughts.

Just as in the above mentioned movie by Jacob: "something gotta stop the flow" so in markets and in life. Every object in motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless...

My primary goal is to go with the flow as long as "unless" becomes obvious.

Just to mark the start of my thread let me put the current quotes of some instruments:
Gold 1192, EU 1.2172, SPX 2086, 30yr 143.18

ES 2087.75 channel top. breakout or revisit channel low @ 2072.. shorting would pretty much violate the recent BTFAH principle, but the stop is good. dec 26.

stops were killed below the channel low and a quick reversal back above the line. in this CB controlled buyback supported market there is no place for shorts.

ES at the high again. what a crappy correlation. GU, EU seems like bottoming.. but not really. Double top on SPX.. but it does not mean anything... now we are stucked at the high.

just observing. patiently watching and sitting on my hands. maybe 2090.25 there are a lot of sellers.. but for how long?

EU had one more downswing during the asia session, but the floor just got higher.
1.21.23 -> 1.2171 in one jump.

#EU: as above so below; as within so without
the channel was doubled and the move below ( market with red 1) is reflected again with the move above ( market with red 2) just as the following market map shows

usdjpy.. or 6J had an interesting formation which at the second touch called for action.
would be great if it reaches the red line at around 117.. which is still no change in the trend at all.. but as the Y6 shows kinda HS forms in favor of the current trend.

Silver's downmove is such a lackluster. channel bottom (brown line, originating from previous gap high and the intermediate high on the 24th and the lower green upsloping line gave the low of 15.7.

now I have lines to frame a trade

ES touched 2088.75 4 times recently and dived back to 2077.. but nothing serious as long as 2076.00 remains intact.

Going against the main trend is an automatic -10% disadvantage, so risk must be aligned properly.. which I mostly fail.

Premarket silence. YEN and Silver two big movers up until now ( from what i follow) and AUD had just recently a breakout. Silver is tricky as this 17c move is more than 1%.. still on my watchlist....

...to build and destroy another sandcastle.

#AUD anyway is forming a triangle continuation just slightly above the breakoutline.

have to look for cover on the yen... us session recently was characterized by heavy BOJ supported UY direction..

pattern nevertheless pretty much looks like a hs which is not yet a hs but rather a flag. I have a feeling that soon its gonna show his real face.

#Silver - update

Silver bounced from the 15.7 support line and now slightly above 16

hope someone at least followed these lines. Market changes quickly and shows a completely different face from what we expect in so many times. Sometimes.. but more often a single line separates huge forces.

I heard in an educational video of a great trader: "always assume the trend can last forever". and others say the trend is your timeframe.

Silver on a great move... but wait.. what is forming up there:

“Once more into the fray...
Into the last good fight I'll ever know...
To live and die on this day...
To live and die on this day...”

Gold, silver, yen up.

stocks still reluctant to give up, but not the usd. last full day of the year, the month, the Q4.

Markets are screaming for a little CB support. Would someone please press that CTRL+P?!?

temporary silence... gainers gave back a lil while loosers still dunno what is goin on.

so just to take time here is a second.. somewhat funny.. but somewhat a lil bit sad story of the magical chart patterns which sometimes work.. sometimes not.

Silver completed its way and touched that upsloping line from above. forces now in a temporary balance giving me the chance to rethink what has just happened.. if anything at all.

those fanatic video editing skills, the extremely awesome music selection, the sequence, the grading, the drama, the cut, fades and delays... none. just the fork.

Nice to see you too.
